Probably not, but I don't think we know enough about it. Now that thousands of guys are coming home with PTSD we will probably get ground breaking research in that area.

No, I don't think PTSD has to last your whole life. I have it from childhood abuse. I've had counseling, which helps a lot. It waxes and wanes. If something upsetting and stressful happens, it can flare up again. I try to be calm, meditate, do deep breathing ...
There are a lot of vets who share your problem. Can the vets adm. help? There are lots of support groups too.

u have to learn to cope with it and change your lifestyle ,could stay for days ,months ,and life ,every one has different experience and different incident which left them dealing with it later,
