i have a miniature pintcher that is over a year old and i'm still waiting for her to have puppies. i've noticed she doesn't like being humped by a male dog, she likes to be the one humping. its hillarious but just makes me wonder can female dogs be lesbian or something? or why do they do that?

Usually when a female dog shows that sort of behavior it means she's in season, and could get pregnant. But if she's just 1 year old she may not really be mature enough to mate. Wait a year and then try. Also a female dog will not allow herself to be mated unless she's "in season" which means she can become pregnant at that time. If she isn't she will reject any male that tries.
So firstly make sure that she's fully mature, and have her vet checked to make sure she's healthy enough to breed. Then that she is in season. Then make sure that the other dog is compatible with her. Then take her to him to be mated. It is usual to take the bi*ch to the dog, not the other way around. Female dogs can be territorial and won't like another dog in their space.
And make sure before conception, that there is a market for the puppies.

What is not hilarious is you just indiscriminately trying to breed a puppy to ...whatever? You probably don't even care that your poor dog could die during birth, or that if she lives the puppies may not because she is too young to breed. You probably also don't care that very small dogs have a much more difficult time having puppies, and could need some major medical intervention which is very costly.
People like you who have no idea about dogs or dog ownership, breeding the very breed that I love and spend my spare time rescuing (from people like you)-you know, I just can't even speak what I am feeling.
Give your poor dog to someone who gives a damn about her welfare and buy fish. Then go torment some human creature for your entertainment instead.

That's funny. Strangely enough, it sounds familiar. My female APBT use to do the same thing to our male APBT. About 3 weeks later, she came up pregnant. The best I can figure out is that her humping the male dog was some sort of foreplay for her. Sounds crazy, I know, but think about some of the wild stuff humans do to "get in the mood!"

Not sexual at all, it is a dominance issue.
Also, she is much too young to have pups. She must be at least two years old. You are putting her life and the life of her future puppies in jeopardy. Her system is not ready for pups at this young of an age. I cannot tell you how many dogs, especially small breeds like Min Pins, end up needing C-Sections due to early breeding.
It is best that you have her spayed. Do more research on breeding, it would be very irresponsible of you to allow her to become pregnant at this point. You need to join your local Min Pin Club, connect with a mentor breeder, show your girl in conformation to her championship, have all her health clearances done, and then if you are still interested in breeding then go for it! No, she is not a lesbian. She is being dominant when she humps any other dog. It is something you should discourage because it can lead to more dominant behavior that may not be so cute. As far as her not being able to become pregnant, I would ask your vet for advice.

You don't even know why your dog mounts another dog and you're "waiting for her to have puppies"? Do you even understand how many MILLIONS (that is MILLIONS) of dogs are put to sleep in the UNITED STATES ALONE because of backyard breeders and puppy mills? Please fix your dog immediately before you make the problem even worse.

maybe she just likes to be the one in control. She's dominant and not submissive. My son (my schnauzer) is as gay as they come. He only likes pink toys and he is the biggest sissy ever and he loves male dogs. But oh well I still love him.

personaly i dont think dogs really no i have a boy dog that i swear looks and acts like a girl but that might be because he only has one ball haha its true! but to really answer your question it might just be she wants to be the domenent one who knows though i really dont think that would cause her not to be pregnant so try goin to the vet!
