Since your skin cracks, I would recommend Vaseline because it's a gentle oily cream that heals the skin as well as protect. Also, make sure you wear some sort of gloves when your hand is in water often.... It's not good to just put your hand in water unless necessary. Aveeno is a good brand too. My mother uses an Aveeno moisturizing lotion that protects for 24 hours. maybe you should try that. and use vaseline at night.

I have tried most on the market and end up back with Ultra Healing Jergens Lotion. I always apply lots while my hands are wet and rub it in until it is dry. The Udder Cream is good at night with socks on your hands while sleeping. You can buy that at farm and animal feed stores. You could possibly have a fungal problem and need to see the Dr. for a prescription for some type of ointment. Chappy hands and fungus together just makes it imposible to heal.

Any or all....Corn husker's Lotion, Udder balm, Shea butter, Olive oil, Vitamin E capsules (pop and rub the oil in), Lubridern, Keri, Neutrogena, Vaseline petroleum jelly, Vaseline Intensive Care.
Creams are better than lotions. Thicker, more protective.
If you need something to disinfect chapped, cracked sore places to get them healed faster, try a little tea tree oil mixed into your fav moisturizer.
If you can wear gloves at work instead of them being wet and chapped all the time...that would be great.
Also you can scrub your hands, to rid of loose dry skin, by making a paste of olive oil and baking soda and gently exfoliate your hands.

Eucerin is really good and stays on your skin well even in water. Also, at night put petroleum jelly on your hands and wear cotton gloves to bed. This will give a definitely moisture boost to your hands. I've also just tried the new Nivea Smooth Indulgence hand cream and it pretty good. Smells nice too.

Aveeno is the ONLY lotion for dry skin in any season. I use it all summer winter spring and fall. It comes in a liquid soap for the shower and I strongly suggest this also. It is never greasy and does need not to be applied after every hand washing. Perfect for dry skin.

I personally like Avon's Moisture Therapy Hand Cream, the white tube with the blue printing. Been using it for many years and it's not sticky and has no smell either. It usually costs $5.99 a tube, but at least four times a year goes on sale 3 for $5.00. I stock up when it does. None better IMHO.

Be sure you're drinking enough water. Your body will rob moisture from your tissues in order to handle functions like digesting food. Don't used petroleum based creams like vaseline. I used to modern dance in bare feet and they would get very cracked and dry. Udder balm worked wonders. I got it a a feed store. But you can probably get it online now.

Medicated Gold Bond....also at night you can put Vaseline on your hands then put some mittens or gloves on while you sleep ( this will keep all the moisture from leaving your hands) May sound funny but it works, works good on rough feet too!

I use Udderly Smooth and get it at Walmart or Walgreens.
Petroleum based products don't agree with my skin and so this seems to work ok.
It doesn't have a strong perfumy smell either.
