Any women who have taken or know anything about YAZ birthcontrol?
I am looking into the birthcontrol pill YAZ for my PMDD. I would like to hear from any women who have taken it or are currently taking it. I am concerned about weight gain, and how it affected you when you got off of it if you have. I was on the depo shot and it messed my hormones up and when I got off it I bled for 3 months, I don't want that experience again. PLEASE, if you have taken it or are currently on it I would like to know the pros and cons you experienced. Is it worth it for me to go on it? I don't want to gain weight I am already overweight and I don't want to be an emotional wreck either. Anyone with advice please answer, serious answers only.

I have been googling it and have come up with mixed reviews. Most people on the message boards have just started taking it. But thank you to anyone who has answered.

I take ortho novum 1/35. I love this pill.
My gyno said it's a very level pill as far as hormones go. It's monophasic. So, there aren't any emotional changes like with triphasics..which I tried to take originally, but I literally cried for 3 months and it was too strong for me, I threw up often.
I don't take Yaz. I hate the stupidity of the commercials.
Oh and as far as weight gain..Didn't happen for me, I actually dropped 20lbs when I first started the pill.

I also tried depo and it was awful. I have come to the conclusion that pills are all bad with side effects. I have had great success with IUDs and the newest one the Mirena is great and in a lot of cases there are very light or no periods at all.Google it and see.

im takin yasmin and i'm almost at the end of my first pack
many people think u gain weight but the thing is that the pills trick your body into thinking your pregnant therefor it depends on your own body.
some people say they get nausea and etc. but you cant really tell unless u try it urself.
i havent had any side effects so far, touch wood, but i think the main reason i dont get nausea is because i eat before i take the pill and i take it at night at 10pm so i sleep through it.
but even if i stay awake nothin realy happens. but to each their own
so good luck
