They clean your bellybutton, mark it, lay you down on a table.. Then, they put clamps on your bellybutton and push the needle through. They put the jewelry in & then it'd done. I found it awkward to sit with it for a little while, and it did hurt - but Tylenol afterwards helps.

Okay, dont worry. i have ym lip and dimples peirced, and it doesnt hurt. i knwo belly button is different,. but it only hurts if yoyur reeeeeeeeeeeally abnormall skinny with tough skin. if your normal, then you'll be fine.

The get you to lie down, and use antibacterial on the spot to make sure its clean. then, they mark a spot, their target. They put a clamp on, which most say it hurts the most. all it does is put presure on it, so you wont feel it. then, they take a hollow 14 gauge needle and tell you to breath in really deep, and they push it through! it doesnt hurt, at all. they attach a tubey hook thing that strings the jewelry in, which doenst hurt. then, its over!

Make sure you wash it once a day. no more, no less, for irretations sake. If they give you some weird ****, ask around about it, because sometimes they can be dumb. i recommend washing it with "soft soap anti bacterial" , which is hand soap that is CLEAR and unsented, usually has a little panda or some animal in side:P !. Its really good. and USE SALT WATER: mix 2 tablespoons with 4 litres of water. I know, not much salt, eh? too much is baaaaad.

luck!
