Much like the Romans, illegal aliens pour across U.S. borders at the rate of eight to 10,000 per day. Another 4,100 legal immigrants step foot on American soil, 24/7 from 100 different countries. That equals two million and more annually. They’re pouring in so fast--our schools, infrastructure and language can not cope with their sheer numbers. Even more sobering, our environment cannot withstand the onslaught.Already at over 20 million illegals, our Congress, president and corporations sit in their insulated and isolated ‘luxury’ box seats in Washington, DC, while average Americans suffer the ‘body counts’What are the signs showing this horrendous hemorrhaging of America’s national sovereignty? Today, our Congress and president serve foreign constituents above US citizens with H-1B and L-1 visas that have given one million jobs to foreigners in India, China and Brazil. Our wages, standards of living and quality of life are being eroded. In 1965, we had 72 immigration lawyers. Today, 8,000 immigration lawyers serve illegal aliens by exploiting every means possible to block deportation. Congress has done nothing to stop the flow of illegals since 9/11. Citizens in California overwhelmingly passed Proposition 187 to stop giving schools, food, medical care and aid to illegal aliens--yet it was overturned by political elites. Outsourcing and off-shoring by our corporations shuttles millions of Americans into unemployment lines. Our national language is undermined by our own leaders who are forcing us to deal with 100 languages in our schools with illegal aliens who have no intention of assimilating into America as citizens. Thus, they promulgate a massive crisis of Balkanization that grows by the hour. We’re being forced into toleration of people, traditions and cultures that are at odds with America’s basic heartland values.

Until the US Constitution is re-written in Spanish, ALL foreigners illegal and not, should respect the USA and learn English.
The rights of American Citizens are being trampled on by the Illegals who want nothing more than to get ahead through pity by sending USA on one giant guilt trip as they steal our luggage.
Enough of pressing 1 for English!

The problem here is not politics but lawlessness. A nation has the right to choose who can enter their country. that is why we have documents to fill out. The law has been relaxed to provide workers for employers. No workers, no profit. No profits, no investors. No investors, no economy. It's all about money. The same reason the illegals are coming. Should I now trespass and take my neighbor's stuff. Or what if I decided I could sneak past the speed limit. Our leaders can no longer justify observance of any laws if they do not do what must be done. And there is a connection to abortion. We aborted about 50 million babies, most of them for convenience. Is illegal immigration lawlessness convenient now. It is our own national sins causing these dilemma's. Gambling the number one growth industry. Substance abuse. Pornography. Molestation. Rape. Greed. Murder. etc. It doesn't have to be that way. Law schools need to teach biblical law as well as secular law. Unless we submit our society to God it will not get better.

Speaking as a daughter of legal immigrants, I can tell you that the immigration system here is ridiculous. Lying and cheating will get you permanent residency very quickly, while being truthful can lead to your case being stalled for many years. My father still hasn't received permanent residency; his case has been pending for the past 21 years, even though he has been an exemplary person.
Immigrants are vital to any country. Go to an institute of higher education--you'll see a high concentration of immigrants. If you go look at any job that Americans are not willing to do, you'll see a high concentration of immigrants (mostly illegal ones, as well). If this country really wanted to stop illegal immigrants from coming in, it would completely reform the INS, which is one of the laziest, most backwards institutions in the world. The people here would also need to be more humble, and more willing to scrub toilets.
Your last sentence is troubling. Toleration of people, traditions, and cultures should be a given. To say that a problem with immigration is that we're forced to be tolerant is like saying that the problem with law enforcement is that we're forced to not kill people. Lack of tolerance leads to miscommunication, war, arrogance, and lack of appreciation for fellow human beings. I am different than many of those around me, but I embrace the differences and attempt to learn from their cultures. How can we improve ourselves if we're not willing to listen to the ideas of those around us?

You're right, and I don't know what it's going to take to get our leaders to stop the madness. Some Americans already tried to deal with the problem themselves and now the leader of the MinuteMen is being exposed as a fraud.

We have everything to lose and nothing to gain at this point. Illegals continue to invade our country.
This article reaffirms your point and should be required reading for each CITIZEN of the USA before 2008 elections.

Yes, we are in danger of losing our country to waves of third world illegal aliens and legal aliens. Read Pat Buchanan's books, "Death of the West," and "State of Emergency" in order to see the seriousness of the problem. We simply cannot assimilate 20 to 38 million illegal aliens, most of whom are Mexican, and several million legal immigrants every year.
We must slow down both legal and illegal immigration, and deport most of the illegals in the USA now. We must stop the policy of giving citizenship to the children of tourists, illegal aliens, and Mexican women who cross the border to give birth in the USA. That is utterly insane!
Lou Dobbs transcripts about US visa programs 6/27/07
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0706/27/ldt.01.html
DOBBS: President Bush, in defending his grand compromise and call for comprehensive immigration reform, frequently says we need a guest worker program in order to secure our borders. Not only is that tortured logic, but we already have a guest worker program.
In point of fact, Mr. President, and all of you who advise this president -- are you ready? Let's count them. We have at least eight guest worker programs already, together allowing more than a half million people to come here and work every year on visas.
According to the State Department, the biggest of these programs is the H visa program. More than 300,000 H visas, in fact, were issued last year, including H-1B visas that allow American companies to replace American workers with cheaper paid foreigners. H visas are also used for nurses, farm workers and other so-called unskilled workers, if you can call a nurse unskilled.
Last year our so-called free trade deals with other nations required the United States to allow more than 40,000 foreign workers to enter the United States to work on special E visas.
There are more than 15,000 so-called I visas for foreign journalists working here. More than 130,000 L visas. Those are given to workers of foreign companies who then come to the United States to work here.
Twelve and a half thousand O visas granted for what the government calls workers of extraordinary ability, including actors and academic leaders. Nearly 34,000 P visas for athletes and other entertainers and artists.
Twelve thousand R visas for religious workers, priests, rabbis and -- and imams. And finally, more than 5,500 visas are issued for Canadian and Mexican workers, courtesy of our agreement, NAFTA. More than 600,000 so-called temporary guest worker visas issued just last year alone.
Last year, according to Lou Dobbs, there were over 4 million aliens allowed into the USA legally. And block that idiot La Razan who called you a racist! Don't tolerate that kind of response to a serious question.
