Fox News and Climate Change. Are they nuts?

I have the 'honor' of spending a weekend in a hotel that carries only Fox News Channel. It's raining cats and dogs, I don't have anything to read, so I am watching their 'The Price of Freedom' and I cannot believe my ears.

IS Fox The ONLY News Channel on the PLANET that ridicules and actively opposes the very real danger of Climate Change?
The LEADING News Channel in the US?
Jeez, their audience must be idiots.

Take as an opportunity to be ammussed. Fox news is a little scarce if facts if they think we don't have a problem with the environment. Perhaps look on CNN new on the net. More reliable, I think anyways. Stinks when there's nothing to do. Perhaps catching up on some ZZZZ's would be better than Fox news. lol

I watch a bit of all the news stations to get a variety of opinions on everything. If Fox thinks that we don't have a problem with global warming they must be idiots and also the news station in the world that doesn't. Apparently they ignore scientific facts.

FOX are as sincere in their statements about Global Warming as any other network. They are telling you what they honestly believe. They are also in denial about the matter, and they are completely *wrong*.

Their problem is that - as with many other matters - their extreme conservative ideology gets in the way of them judging things objectively.

When you are a right-wing crazy, "cognitive dissonance" prevents you from coming up with all sorts of correct answers on public issues.

Cognitive dissonance is what is going on in our brains, when we encounter something that contradicts a belief that we hold strongly.

We can't believe two opposite things at once and we have to make a choice. Most of the time we reject the new information and stick with the old belief.

Everyone at FOX loves private ownership, corporations, and the National Rifle Association. Eventually, dealing with Global Warming is going to cost corporations many billions of dollars as they are forced to clean up their act, and for FOX News that just isn't on.

By the way liberals also suffer from cognitive dissonance. It just doesn't cause nearly as much damage to society as the FOX News kind does.

While I cannot endorse the idiocy of the "(un)Fare and (im)Balanced" Focks News. I can say that I am "stupid" enough to believe that Global Warming is a Farce! Mars is also warming kids. And Earth has been far hotter in the past. When it gets real warm, it should get real cold. More water will be evaporated and that means cooling. The snap back should be an ice age. I've thought about it a lot. I don't often believe what "THEY" tell me because my EGO says they most likely are leading each other and you into the emotional state they want you in so they can more easily take your money and.....

There are two parts of Foxnews. The commentators are pretty far out. The news department isn't bad.

Europeans tend to believe anything their political leaders tell them. Americans think independently. We know from all of the evidence that the Sun is the cause for the Earths warming, as it hasn't warmed in the last 10 years, even though co2 output has increased every year since then.
