Without the Holocaust, and the destruction of shetl Jewry and its culture, Israel never gets off the drawing board. Before the ink was dry on on the Balfour declaration, England was, (as is their habit) backing away from its promise of a jewish homeland.

If that is how God expresses His will, then count me out!

I know all about the Khazar Empire, and the 13th tribe. Maybe not authentically Jewish, but after1,000 years of faith(900AD-1940), I rather think they paid their dues, not to mention the countless Pogroms they endured over the centuries.

God thinks so ... Israel is still there. This in itself shows how much God wants them there.

Actually the Ashkenazic (German/East European) Jews are not the Jews of the Bible, but converts from Khazar Empire which converted in 740 CE. The King chose Judaism over Christianity or Islam for his empire.

The Jews of the Bible and descendants of Abraham are the Sephardic and Mizrathic Jews, with the birthright to Israel, but no has bothered yet to give them back their homeland. Those that are in Israel are treated as 2nd and 3rd class citizens by the Ashkenazic.

So was it worth it NO the rightful heirs are not even welcome.

EDIT: Yes, but the Sephardi and Mizrathi have endured trial after trial, persecution after persecution since the time of Abraham (slavery, dispora, persecution under the 4 empires, the Inquisitions, auto de fe's and eventually yes some in the Holocaust). So because of the German Holocaust the Ashkenazic can steal the Sephardic and Mizrathic birthright and persecute them even more?

That there would be an Israel again is apparent from the book of Revelations. Much of what occurs there centers around Israel. The Bible says that God is not yet through with his plan for the salvation of Jewish people.

Romans 11:25
I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
"The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.

Israel is necessary for God to gather all the Jews into one small area for a final judgement.

The protection of the dispersion is over.

Maybe not in a world where cause follows effect.

Once the Holocaust had already happened, though, I suspect it was a positive thing for the Jews.
