i have a friendship with a girl who i think likes me but she is shy and so if i straight up asked her out she may be too embarrassed or it might make the situation awkward.
Are there any things i can do to confirm from her (from her body language) that she likes me too?
i would just ask her out but don't want to spoil a great friendship. She means the world to me as a friend....and in the future, maybe more

When you are walking or talking together, just touch her arm as you speak...only briefly...if she does not shy away, then next time put your arm around her and give her a quick one armed hug...best to do this in a light hearted moment...only a quick hug and with one arm...you should be able to see if she minds by her reaction.

I would tell her how I feel and if it is too much for her to take , let her know that you are still very happy with the friendship that you have built and that there isn't anything that can change that.

Does she maintain eye contact with you? How does she react if you touch her arm briefly, does she move away if you sit close to her? Eventually you would have to ask her out, she may be waiting for you to make the first move if she's shy, good luck!
