Well, I think the answer is obvious.

Though women (or girls for the matter) are said to be more emotional than men (or boys), one cannot overgeneralize.

There are very sensitve men as well as women. And then there are both who would be more moderate when it comes to emotions.... and those who lack emotions (both men and women).

When it comes to forgetting their loves... you'll never know. Things aren't always as people say they are... sorry! LOL But I believe the analysis above applies here as well.

Finally, I don't know what's triggered this question of yours, but one day you'll meet a girl that WILL make you forget about all the ones before her. Good luck!

I never forgot my greatest love even though it didn't work out, and that was 30 years ago. I looked for his qualities in everyone I met, and never made another permanent committment.
He was also looking for something, because he has married 5 times since. None ever worked.

He has recently returned, and it was obvious that neither of us had ever moved on. But too much time has passed. It still isn't working between us, some people just aren't destined to be.

Hmmmmm, I think some guys/men DON'T forget right away. For about 9 years....I had an ex email me, tell me that he misses me, etc. I could sometimes feel that someone was THINKING OF ME, us women have that inner voice. Sure enough, it was that one person that could not forget me. ALL MEN/GUYS ARE DIFFERENT!!!! Some dwell more than others on loves/lovers. The ones that pretend to forget right away...are not being true with their feelings and just trying to be MACHO!!!

i dont think so...i really doubt whether 'forgetting' former lovers has to do with gender, but more with the person....fr instance, if the girl/ boy in question had a harsh life at home and dated many people, then they would forget sooner, but someone who grew up in a caring and respectful home, who did not date many people, would probably continue to yearn for that person....
to me, it's all about personality.... hope that helps :)

no i don't think so. not all guys think about girls the same way. i mean my brother went through a whole bunch of girls that i didn't even bother remember who they were. i've like alot of guys and i don't ever forget that but i try to let it go. there's this guy i like, could never bring myself to ask him out or anything. if i had a boyfriend and this other guy even hinted that he was interested i'd be all for it and forget the other guy because i was waiting for him to say something to me.

I truly believe both guys and gals have the propensity to linger with their loves mentally long after they are physically gone. Girls feelings are perhaps 'deeper' because of our emotions. Guys don' t always admit to having these emotions so they surface as tho nothing is wrong. But, deep down inside those crevices guys' lost loves linger.

I'm not sure if i got the question... I would say no i think girls are worse, a girl will remember every name of an ex boyfriend and what the relationship is like. They may also think about them every now and again!
