I think it depends on your relationship with your parents and how far away you live from them. Do they ever come and see you? It should be a 2 way street. Why don't you try to invite them over? I would be very sad if I didn't see my parents for a whole year but we have an excellent relationship.

Well it depends on the situation. How far away do you live? Do you have enough time off of work for a visit to be possible? Do you have in-laws that you must also visit? Do you have the financial means to visit?
We only get to visit my mother every other summer, but we always make a long visit of it. It is a long trip, and expensive. Of course, if we lived closer and had more money we would visit more often.

I wouldn't say it's bad. Personally, I can't take more than a week at my mom's and I'm ready to go find a motel room. I DO go to see her every year for the most part, but there have been times that I wanted to go somewhere different (usually one week a year is all I can afford for traveling, the other weeks I stay home). One thing I do is, I call her every Sunday evening. Maintaining contact is the important thing.

Yes, you should visit and keep in close contact with them - always! They are your parents -for crying out loud! I speak to my parents at least 2-3 times a day, and either they visit or I visit almost every weekend-sometimes during the week. We also spend vacations together. I couldn't imagine my life without them!

Yes its bad. You never know when something can happen to you, or them. If it is not feasable to visit often, make sure you call them, and tell them you love them.

yes it is!!! the last time i seen my dad was 1st november 2006!! he died suddenly a year go today for 10 days i didnt see or speak to him biggest regret of my life!! your choice tho you have to live with it............

yes it is bad. i have a21 year old daughter and would go crazy if she didnot want to see me every week.
