Be calm...
first you need to know what are the topics....you have 30 spots on your fingers so put what is on all pages in your mind and do tht on ur fingers not literally like u shld know wht goes where....do tis several of times...divide tht into supgroups (ur topics) dont memorize word by word memorize it by points like if your topic is TECTONICS: u can have 10 points:
continentaldrift....this....tht....duh...bla...bluh
keep reading it till u know what is on the pages...u dont have to know it word by word....! do it over and over again till u r perfect
so memorize it like tht this always elps me but if u are a visual learner try to write it over and over again run through all the pages and jot all the pints till you are perfect and yet u cant learn it dont go to school tommorow....tell ur teacher u were sick........!
Best of luck...!

The best way to remember material is first to write it down. Copy the pages using two column notes format. In the right hand column, take notes on the material you read, then in the left hand column pull out the significant names, dates and ideas. Once you finish a section, summarize those notes. Check out the Cornell university website be searching for cornell notes.

By summarizing, putting information into your own words, you will retain more information.

You can then fold the pages over and quiz yourself. Lok at the key words on the left and see what you remember of the details.

Make flashcards for things you aren't retaining. Fact, date, person or event on one side, details on the other.

Good luck. Next time don't wait to do this, keep up with your notes as you go. It will be far less painful and you will retain more.
