For Dance classes, or Yoga, or Pilates etc, do you have to sign up, or is the Classes free, or do you have to have a membership? At the dance classes, do instructors teach you how to dance, or do you just dance along? For the teens club, do you have to have a membership, or is it free? Is the entertainment free? Like the hollywood theatre? How can you TELL which restuarants are free, and which ones require extra surcharges?

I just got back from an NCL cruise. Not on the Pride but another ship.

You do have to sign up for the Yoga, Pilates and Danced classes. The dance classes in the lounge are free but there are fees for both Yoga and Pilates. But you do not need a gym membership and use of the gym is free but not the wraps, massages and other things like acupuncture. All of the teen club activities are free and so is other evening entertainment in the show room.

Each day you will receive a flier like a newsletter that will list all activities all day and evening. The newsletter that we received each evening listed all of the restaurants aboard ship, their hours for meals, and those that have a cover charge. This same information will be in a booklet in your cabin.

Lots of questions
Dance classes - free - they show you the steps, then you do them. They are usually repeated 2 or 3 times before going on to the next step, eventually putting it all together.
Teen club is free. Entertainment is free, and usually very good. They have their own group of dancers, and band. Night Club is free. Some things you pay for, but they let you know what in the daily newsletter delivered to your room each evening. Usually left on the bed when the steward prepares room for the night. The large main dining room is free, and also the cafeteria. Some you pay a fee for like the steak house. The outside snack places are also free for pizza, hamburger, etc. There is also lots of activities such as trivia, pool sports, maybe shuffleboard, ping pong. All are free. It is the greatest way to travel. Tipping is paid at the end. Usually money put in envelopes for Dining room steward, room steward, Matre d', etc. You can go to the pursers desk if you don't feel someone looked after you right, and change the amount of the tip. I think that ship adds it automatically to your bill, but you can ask them not to and just pick up the envelopes and leave to whom you feel gave the best service to you. If the Pride of America is based in Honolulu, and you travel around the islands, you don't have too much time on board the ship anyway, as you are in port everyday. Enjoy. I did. Judy
