How else are they going to replace the soldiers murdered by the Bush administration?

The military needs people who do not think that much about what they are being ordered to do, because thinking leads to hesitation and hesitation often leads to opinions, something the military is not too fond of.

I am from a military family (father served 30 years as a Marine sniper, with all the males in our family serving in the armed forces), and I know what the military is like. Nowadays, the military is full of people who have no direction, who need discipline and guidance.

And the military, as an institution, doesn't allow for dissent in its' ranks -- that's what the media and the public are for.

To become a strong united force, some brainwashing is needed. Unfortunate, though, because so many good people have died in a war that seemingly is without end.

nicely, it seems that like for being so youthful you have alot of well being problems. The actual demands which you've gotten in the armed forces would possibly not make your existence any much less annoying. the armed forces won't want to invest alot of money into you getting knowledgeable which you would be able to easily have well being subjects and not have the capacity to maintain up bodily. meaning, which you are able to not preform the artwork they want. the armed forces is incredibly like another corporation that hires human beings, and that they are actually not likely to hire somebody for a job that can not do the job. you should to invest in your self by utilising discovering a commerce or get a physically powerful training. in case you bypass to school, determine you do an internship till now you end. to not sound mean, yet once you are able to not hack intense college, adulthood is going to be tough.

Because with the conflict in Iraq re-enlistment and enlistment numbers have drastically reduced. By lowering standards the military has given itself a bigger pool of civilians who become eligiable. For example, before Iraq tattos on the neck were not allowed, so if a guy with one wanted to join he was **** out of luck. Now, the same guy can join. Same goes for older people, age limit is 42 now, not 31.

Standards were not lowered as you put it. The standards are still enforced.

What you were looking for was qualifications.

Yes these were lowered a little. not alot, and as for the educated American. If you think Lower IQ means serving the Country and Higher IQ means serving French Fries Then I would have to agree with you.

It is not that people are smarter it is just that some people no matter who they are have a certain amount of fear and some people have a certain amount of Courage.

I serve by choice and it sure is not for the pay, Their really is not one answer why I serve I think every time I hear a negative remark it makes me glad I do. Cause I am sure not turning over my Guard Post to Some Coward A$$ liberal who thinks making negative remarks about his country will protect the citizens.

Is that story even true? I have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of a Marine weeping in public. I've known plenty of Marines, and none of them would do that.

You know, it's real sad that all you have time to do is sit up at night thinking up stupid stories like this one to post on here. You are such a liar that a good liar wouldn't stand a chance in the same room with you. Your even an insult to liberals. I doubt that a Marine would give you the time of day. By the way, I thought you were supposed to be attending an anti-war rally in Warren Michigan with a fictitious nephew. Yet another lie?

The least you can do with your pitiful life is think of another made up story. We've already heard this one, way to many times. Speaking of that, hows the marine nephew??? Oh wait, he doesnt exist.
Would you give it a break already!! I think you should support our country and the people that fight for your freedom.

Actually, the standards have not been lowered; they have simply reverted to the regulation requirements. For many years, each service has adjusted policy (not regulation) on what the qualifications for entrance are at that time.

If the policy is adjusted to be no tougher than the regulation, I am all for that. America works best when young men and women get the opportunity to learn and grow while serving their country.

IGNORE THIS PUNK. They're ALWAYS posting anti-military and anti-american questions. They (and their counterpart, ERUDITE #2) have been reported to Yahoo several times and I encourage you to report them too. Get people like this out of these forums.

p.s. You eat at BigBoys alot.

I believe you are barred from the "Weeping Big Boy" restaurant for abusing Marines, and other pro-war customers by trying to get them to come back to your place for a "Lemon Juice" nudge, nudge, wink, wink!! followed by a slice of Jane Fonda Pie! (mind the nuts!!). They used to be yours.

But the military standards are still way above yours, as you are an unpatriotic and ungrateful Troll.
