where can i get instructions and hardware for building plantation shutters?

i'm a good carpenter and i don't wanna spend over $500 a window for $20 worth of wood. it sounds fun too.

Isn't much fun. The staples in particular are hard to duplicate because the commercial ones are cut from wire just before they are applied so boxes of them don't exist. Either each slat has to be drilled and holed and doweled or a plastic pivot is used.
It is not the $20 worth of wood, it is the labor and the investment in the machines that cut down on the labor.
