Many times people use information that is wrong. However even when you present JW's with true beliefs of theirs they tend to deny them or tell you that you don't understand.

there are a number of lies and misrepresentations; a million. with the aid of fact the others have suggested, that we don't think in Jesus. definite, we do. We have self assurance that Jesus is the pinnacle of the congregation. We only don't think that he's GOD, nowhere in the Bible does it say he's God. he's God's SON and he constantly suggested so himself. 2. we've not got events. that's POLNAYA CHUSH!! with the aid of fact the Russians say, entire nonsense. 3. All our halls have not any abode windows some do, some do not, with the aid of very valid motives like decrease expenditures and prevention of vandalism. not something mysterious approximately that. 4. we are a unfavourable sect/cult. every person who has ever lived with a JW can testify that they are the main loving neighbours one ought to ever have. If every person has lost a relative in war or violent assaults, they could be a hundred% particular that the JWs had not something to do with that as they're peace-loving. 5. We seek for to get prosperous ones to leave their funds to the Society. Blue lie! perhaps that declare might carry water if we in basic terms preached to prosperous ones. yet seeing we carry forth to human beings of all races, financial backgrounds and social statuses, that cannot be real. we don't exhibit screen how lots every person contributes, it rather is all voluntary and between them and Jehovah. 6. one that has been "warm" at present- that we refuse ALL scientific scientific care. Lie- some between JWs are scientific workers. we don't settle for scientific scientific care that is going against God's regulations, like blood transfusions and spiritistic healing approaches.

There are a lot of lies and misrepresentations;
1. As the others have said, that we do not believe in Jesus.
Yes, we do. We believe that Jesus is the Head of the congregation. We just do not believe that he is GOD, nowhere in the Bible does it say he is God. He is God's SON and he always said so himself.
2. We do not have parties.
That is POLNAYA CHUSH!! as the Russians say, total nonsense.
3. All our halls have no windows
Some do, some don't, due to very legitimate reasons like lower costs and prevention of vandalism. Nothing mysterious about that.
4. We are a dangerous sect/cult.
Anyone who has ever lived with a JW can testify that they are the most loving neighbours one could ever have. If anyone has lost a relative in war or violent attacks, they can be 100% sure that the JWs had NOTHING to do with that as they are peace-loving.
5. We seek to get wealthy ones to leave their money to the Society.
Blue lie! Maybe that claim would hold water if we ONLY preached to rich ones. But seeing we preach to people of all races, economic backgrounds and social statuses, that cannot be true. We do not monitor how much anyone contributes, it's all voluntary and between them and Jehovah.
6. One that has been "hot" lately- that we refuse ALL medical treatment.
Lie- some among JWs are medical personnel. We do not accept medical treatment that goes against God's laws, like blood transfusions and spiritistic healing methods.

Honestly, it would take some time to find ALL the urls that apply but here is a good one http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070119155144AA45SeE
There are quite a few CLEAR lies in the pasted list. Example, number 46. That was funny. Number 98, false as well, or maybe I shouldn't have narrated for a play in school.
Many on here paste rediculous claims.
One claim a certain jabbering goat made was that we Witnesses believe "NOTHING Biblical". Clearly untrue, unless the belief murder is wrong is unBiblical.

Many say we do not believe in Jesus. This is absolutely not true. We believe that Jesus is God's Son and the Messiah, without him we have no forgiveness of sins, nor a chance of everlasting life. John 17:3
Many say we do not believe that Jesus was resurrected. This is not true. We know that Jesus was resurrected, the bible tells us so. Over 500 saw him ascend into heaven and he is now reigning as king of God's Kingdom. (1 Cor. 5:6)
"Because he has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and he has furnished a guarantee to all men in that he has resurrected him from the dead." Acts 17:31
Many say we are a cult in a negative sense. This is not true.
All religions could be considered a cult, but not all are a "cult" in the sense of Jim Jones and David Kurish. ALL religions were started by a man or group of men. Otherwise, if no one ever questioned the Catholic teachings, we would all still be Catholic. The Catholic Church follows a living man at all time, the Pope. Would that not fit the description of a cult?
By the way, I have a book on the history of religion and neither Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons are listed as a cult, but as a modern day movement. Jim Jones and David Kurish are listed as cults.
Many say we are brainwashed....that is total rubbish!!! The funniest thing I ever heard was that when the brother gives a talk, he moves his head from one side to the other to hypnotize the audience....LOL. There is nothing weird or strange about what we do. No candles, no chanting, no rolling in the aisles, no yelling "Praise the Lord, Amen, Hallejah". Just families getting to gather to study the bible in a dignified manner that is worthy of Jehovah.
Some say we don't help others in need. It seems every time this question is asked to discredit us, when we respond to how we do help others in need, the question will be deleted. Why? Because the asker doesn't really want to know the truth, but to give us a bad name. We do help others when ever possible. We may not run a homeless shelter, but we do take care of our own first and then we help others. Of course, we feel as the saying goes "give them a fish and you feed them for the day, teach them to fish and you feed them for life." Our goal is to help people learn to improve their situation, and to give them a hope of the future. Isn't that what Jesus told us to do.
One person's experience with someone who may claim to be a Jehovah's Witnesses or who is associated with Jehovah's Witnesses, does not constitute what 6.6 millions Jehovah's Witnesses believe as a group or how we strive to live our lives. Of course, no one is perfect as the "ex-JW's" can attest. Such as one on here that has admitted to committing fornication and becoming pregnant while a JW, a person is not disfellowshipped for what they did, but because of their attitude about what they did. Does what she did make me think that all Jehovah's Witnesses unrepentantly commit fornication? No, many have done the same thing and were NOT disfellowshipped, or if they were they are now reinstated. My guess is that this person was disfellowshipped at 22, not a babtized witness for 22 years. So she was young and inexperienced, she has been away for so long and is bitter and only feeds her mind on negative things written by other disgruntle ex-JW's. She obviously never really knew the truth. I would personally love for her to come back to Jehovah, I can see that she had it rough and made some wrong decisions due to her youth.
My sister just got reinstated in July, she has been disfellowshipped twice, once when she was 19 for fornication and again for the same thing when she was 31. She says it is just now really clicking, the importance of living a clean moral live and stricking close to Jehovah and his organization as it is a protection against many of the worlds problems if we follow the bibles council.
We know the lies and half truths will continue, but those with a sincere heart will see through the lies and find the truth.
Acts 20:30 "From among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves."
Ro. 8:31 "What, then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who will be against us?

that we do not believe in Jesus Christ. we have a wonderful book about The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived and it is about the life of Jesus Christ. kingdom halls don't have windows. many do and the one that I go to does have windows. we don't party. we have parties all the time. that we don't know anything about the bible, we are bible students. also people keep saying we are a cult. a cult worships a man and live together and that we are brainwashed. we are neither. we live in 236 lands and we live in our own homes. we don't have to stay as a witness if we don't want to. no one forces us to stay. we stay because we love Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ. also people keep saying that Jesus Christ is Jehovah. not true. Jesus never said he was Jehovah God. Jesus prayed to his Father in the heaven, you cannot pray to yourself. when Jesus was baptized Jehovah came down like a dove and said this is my son the beloved. people on here like unsilence lamb rather slander us. when she was a witness it was not a cult now that she turned her back, she decided we are a cult. I feel sorry for her

Wow, lol, some of the replies before me gives plenty opportunity to show what some non-JW say is untrue.
1. "They don't believe in Jesus"
We most certainly DO believe in Jesus. We know him to be the SON of Jehovah God. We know he died for the sins of mankind so we may have life eternal. We know he is the ONLY mediator between us and God (we pray in Jesus' name and don't need a Priest to pray for us). We know he taught his disciples and sent them preaching and teaching from temple to temple and house to house. We know he is the King of God's Kingdom NOW.
Jesus is our King and Redeemer. We follow the example he set in the Bible.
2. "They're a cult."
Cult's tend to be small groups of people who follow one charismatic leader. JW's number over 6 million and we follow NO man. We're organized because Christ and God are organized and it helps us to obey Christ easier. When he said to go forth baptizing and making disciples, being organized helps us to do that. We follow the Bible as the authority- NOT man.

I am one of those people that they claim" Lie " about them. Funny thing is, I never lie. I don't have to. I don't care enough about what people think about me, to lie. Besides, the truth about them is bad enough.
Our good friend claims that these are lies: These are 2 of the claims that I make against the Witnesses. Are they lies. Not in my experience, maybe a difference of opinion, but certainly not lies. I can prove them both, and will if called to, but not interested in doing so at this moment. The other claims, are misguided opinions, because the people who make those claims do not have the entire truth, but not lies either.

Jehovah's Witnesses are certainly not interested in working to perpetuate rumors about themselves or their predecessors.
(Matthew 10:16-17) Look! I am sending you forth as sheep amidst wolves; therefore prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves. Be on your guard against men; for they will deliver you up to local courts, and they will scourge you in their synagogues.
Yet there is a favorite anti-Witness lie that does not besmirch Jehovah's Witnesses but does expose the absurdity of the anti-Witness.
Anti-Witnesses pretend that the global preaching work of Jehovah's Witnesses is easy. Anti-Witnesses pretend that lots of religions are just as capable as Jehovah's Witnesses at lay-ministry.
Readers are invited to consider for themselves the relative efforts of their own churches and congregations, and ask what percentage of their congregants still preach from door to door after a month, or a year, or a decade, or a lifetime. One hundred percent of active adherents of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses have a personal share in the ministry month after month, year after year.
(Matthew 10:7,11,14) As you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.’ ...Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving... Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet.
