If you are asking this question you must see something in another that you'd like to have. When God calls you, He WILL reveal himself to you. Each has his own experience through faith that speaks to the revelation that God (The Holy Spirit) is living within them. Have you ever felt warm inside when someone was praying and mentioned your name, or maybe you were at a funeral or some other kind of service and someone mentions God or going to Heaven. That warm feeling is the Holy Spirit revealing Himself to you. Talk to your Friend about it. I am sure he will be able to point you in the direction God is calling you to.

Jesus did prove himself to us over and over again. Read the Bible. How many people do you know that can do the stuff that He did?? Read the New Testament in NIV. You just need to have faith. Even if he did prove himself again now to man, they wouldn't believe him. They'd find another excuse not to. God is real! No matter what the world might say. Christianity is not a crutch for the weak but a stronghold for those who need a safe place to put their hope in when the world fails them. (Which we all do) God Bless!

well..i think that God always wants to talk to us.....because He loves us...I think that He may be talking to us but we're just not listening to Him. We need to be in the place where we are available and listening to Him. If you want to know what God is like you need to look at the first account of people who had encounters with Him which is found in the Bible written by those inspired by God revealing Himself to them. Being a Christian is because you truly desire this relationship with God...you can't decide that you want to be a Christian when it sounds good to you.

God will not reveal to someone so hardened in their heart.
You can never force your head to believe what you cannot trust in your heart.
The Spirit of all God's truth is within.
He is the revealer of all truth.
You may doubt Him, but you have not known any truth without Him.

Think not God of your image and likeness. To wish is only a wish. God is the trinity and the trinity is the Negative & the Positive. The "and" (&) is the spirit and the helix. The truth is in the twist between and we all know it to be infinity. God revelation is to no man in likeness or spirit. Christains are followers of a Crucified Man. Let it be as it is. God has no relationship to a meare mortal ambition.
Be thy Earth be gone and all that lived on the surface be fore gotten. So be it. There be not one of you to remember.

Jesus talks to our neighbor, Mr. Gibby; does that count?
The thing I don't get, is my wife is far more devout than Mr. Gibby (in fact he is a little crazy if you ask me), and Jesus never talks to her.
She goes to church every Sunday, and I have never in all our seven years of marriage heard her tell me that Jesus talked to her.
Yet Mr. Gibby gets messages from Jesus ever few days. It's not fair.
