Tounge or Belly Button?

whichh one, in your opinion, should i get?
pleas help, my mom said either of those ^ ^ i could get for one of my christmas presents,help me decide please!

Personally, I think either one is nasty, but the tongue is worse. You also stand more chances of infection with the tongue. It is more painful and you cannot eat normally for several days.

Some guys think the belly button is sexy, and the tongue slutty. Besides, you can hide the belly button better. It is also easier to heal the belly button if you change your mind later in life. When you get old, you might decide that the piercing is not so cool.

Plus you have to remember what the others mentioned about talking funny and interviewing for a job. Not everyone thinks it is cool. I was at a restaurant and the server had her tongue pierced. Every time she spoke, the piecing came flying out of her mouth. It was gross. My friends and I were so grossed out we lost our appetites. The manager asked us what the problem was. We told him that she had been polite, but her tongue piercing had grossed us out. I don't know what happened to her, but the manager was not in a good mood when he went to talk to her.

I'd go with the belly button piercing if I had to choose between the tongue and belly. Really, I'd just get an extra ear piercing, instead.

A tongue piercing will severely limit your future career opportunities and the amount of salary you can earn, unless you plan on being a rock star. It also gets infected easily because the mouth is not a clean place, even if you brush regularly.

Also, a tongue piercing pretty much announces to the world that you will give oral sex--that's what it's often used for. If you don't mind that, no problem.

It's your body do what YOU want too!! And by the way I have my tongue pierced and it has never been infected ever, It also hasn't kept me from getting a job. I used to work for a piercer and we saw more infected belly buttons then tongues. Which ever one you choose take care of it properly, I would also suggest if you get your belly button done have it pierced with a ring , It will be easier to clean and you will be less likely to develop a infections. Most of the cute belly button rings with charms and jewels are not 100% surgical stainless steel they contain mixed metals and will but you at risk for a allerigic reations and possibly your body rejecting it. Especially if you are sensitive to cheap jewlery. Just be sure to ask your piercer everything before you get it done.

i have both done - it is really up to you.. as long as you take care of either one you shouldn't have a problem with either. but with the tongue piercing, i would suggest as soon as you can change the barbell, you change to plastic balls instead of the metal ones they will start you with... i've cracked a tooth on those metal balls, its not fun. while both piercing will cause you some discomfort when you get them done, do realize that for about 3 days it will be very difficult to eat with the tongue piercing. also really stings if you sneeze or cough. And thru the experiences of my friends, i've found that no matter how good you take care of a belly ring it can still become infected. but it looks cute :) so the choice is yours, just some things to think about before you decide! good luck

Belly button piercings do not close up if you decide you don't like it and it is too late, but on the plus side you can cover it up. Tongue piercings do heal faster, but they make you talk funny, when you go to a job interview they WILL NOT hire you, believe me, and you can actualyl crack a tooth on the piercing you start out with because people like to play with it in their mouth. I would go with belly button, but in my opinion neither. Maybe a double-ear piercing??? Those look cute.

I have my belly button pierced and I love it. It's fun to buy cute rings. But tounge rings would be fun to play with in your mouth, so maybe you could get that later on in life if you still wanted it. The only problem with that is your tounge swells up and it hurts to talk and eat.

Tongue would hurt a lot more, I think. Also your at a higher risk for infection of the piercing then.

The tongue is a lot more work than the belly ring you have to rinse your mouth out with the special mouth wash every time you eat. Once you get it it done you can't eat for a few days b/c it hurts really bad and if your like me and like to eat that is torture and you will be talking funny for a few days maybe a week depending on how fast you heal b/c your tongue will swell up a lot.

I think go with belly button-I have one, theyre sexy, not too painful, and it can be hidden when you want and displayed when you want. Tongue-I would think too painful, and then its always there everytime you talk. Also personally I think belly rings are accepted a little more; people see a tongue ring and form an impression of you that you may not want.
