Other phone handsets or companies that work give you value for your money and work for al long time about 7-10 years? Most cordless phones I had (Panasonic) spoilt within 1-2 years.

I have had every kind of crappy phone, including Panasonic. I constantly have bought ones, found out how bad they are no matter what level their level of advertising hype, and end up giving them away.

Right now I have Radioshack ones that go for almost $100 but have a flasher plus ringer, adjustable voice and ring volumes, mid-range boost, large memory for speed dial, distinctive rings that you can set on incoming calls for family versus others, and excellent voice clarity. I have had one for three years and the other for two without any noticeable deterioration. I think these are the RadioShack imitation of a very high-end phone.

GE makes crappy products.
Every GE product I've ever owned pooped out on me prematurely.
Fridge, Oven, Radio, Phone, etc.
I won't even buy a light bulb from them anymore.
Nada.
