Take it out if you are that worried.

Tell her! I did the same thing and sneaked about for a week until I got so damn casual that I forgot all about the piercing!! Mum went mental (Dad, like yours was cooler!!). It is part of growing up (if thats your poison), and you'll look back in years to come and laugh. Right now youre scared though!! Get it our in the open (how old are you by the way, past the age of consent - 16?). if you are then you try and chat calmly to her. I was 18 but still lived at home. I guess if you are at school it might pose a problem. EEk no real answers here, sorry!!!!

Mum=Mom illeagaly=illegally dont=don't Listen to your mom; don't do it with a gun that would be BAD and could hurt you big time! Doing it unprofessionally is just asking for an infection! You can tell her you'll do the dishes for a month. You will get A's and B's in school for a whole semester, give her some deals Good luck! :)

tragus piercing is a perforation of the tragus for the purpose of inserting and wearing a piece of jewelry. The tragus is the small piece of thick cartilage that projects immediately in front of the ear canal. The piercing itself is usually made with a small gauge hollow piercing needle, and typical jewelry would be a small diameter captive bead ring or small gauge post style piercing jewelry. A related piercing is known as the Antitragus piercing.

It's not permanent. Cover it with your hair.

You have to take responsibility for what you have done. Tell your mum. Maybe she did not understand what a tragus was. If she makes you take it out so be it. It sounds like your young under 18? And honestly i hope you got it pierced right. If you are making adult decision you should be able to take the consequences as an adult.

Well, there is only one thing you CAN do if you want to make peace with them about it.
Tell them you got it because you really wanted it- that it was a choice made for you and not anybody else. Not because it looks cool or whatever.
Tell them they you want their approval, but its also your body, and this was important to you, so its VERY important to you that they accept it.

I did the same thing with my last two piercings. I had to beg my dad for a second hole. He finally said yes, but he disapproved. Then I convinced my mum to let me get my cartilage pierced- but my dad didn't know. He went mad over it for a bit, but then he eventually accepted it.

Then when I went out to get my third lobe hole for my 18th birthday, he didn't even say anything, because he knew that it was just something I *do*, and that he really has no leverage in the matter.

So just be a good kid, and let your parents know that it doesn't change anything about you. Maybe do the dishes without being asked ;)

Oh my gosh people, just go look it up if you don't know what it is. "What's a tragus?" isn't a very good answer.

Depending on if you drive or something... I'd assume you drove yourself to get it done? Or went with somebody? I just hope you got it professionally done.

You're going have to tell them the truth, how you got it and stuff. They're going to find out eventually, so best of luck to you.

And yes, I'd tell daddy first... maybe he can come up with a good reason as to how to tell your mom you got it done.

I don't know what a tragus is? Is it a visible part of your body or more of a.. private part? If there is a chance they will find out just tell them. It'll be easier in the long run.

I did that! Although I got my nose pierced instead...

Well, if you think your dad would understand then tell him first, get him to tell your mum. Hide it in the meantime with your hair. Even if your mum goes nuts she'll come round eventually, mine did, although she thought it was fake at first and I was winding her up! She told me no repeatedly but I love my nose piercing. She can't stay mad at you forever! Hope you're pleased with it though :o)

I came home with my tongue pierced and my parents flipped then they got over it. I asked then would they rather I get a tattoo?? at least with a piercing it can be taken out.
