That's awful. I hope your bro called the pharmacy and told them his prescription was stolen, and to not let the sis pick up any refills. Either she's taking them herself, or she's selling them (for $10-$15 a pill). I'd also call the police on her. They might not be able to do anything about it other than go talk to her, but maybe it would knock some sense into her.

Valium is addictive. Your SIL is either addicted or dealing.
Your BIL's marriage is on the rocks.

Rearing an autistic kid is a lot of work and a lot of stress... it never ends and there are no breaks from the action.
It may have been too much burden for the SIL, and there is a strong possibility that your BIL may have left her holding the bag on all that responsibility.
A lot of men think that just going to work holds up their end of things... everyone has to do that... but when there is a special needs child in the household, all hands need to be on deck.

She keeps doing it because she can! The man keeps taking her back after she's had her fun. She is only thinking about herself and her desires and her drugs. That is not a good influence on a child. Autistic children need a calm, stable environment. Her husband would be better off without her and hiring a nanny.

Not much! This guy needs to move on and forget this woman
and concentrate on caring for his son.

That child is much better off. Now you know why the kid isn't getting better. I think it is great. Bad on her part for her actions but they don't need her.

Well evidently he is a co-dependent and lets her get away with it...you can't solve everyone else's messes...only your own, and sometimes even that is difficult...
