Turn the age of 18, and they won't be able to say NO.
Or, compromise....
Develop a list of daily/weekly chores to help out.
Tell your parents you would like to pitch in more around the house, and if you do this consistently for a month or so, would they be open to rewarding you for your help with allowing you to get a piercing?
If not, ask them what it is you could do, and for how long would they want you to commit to doing something (like bringing home all A's on the report card), in order for you to get the piercing?

Most piercings are perfectly safe as long as they are done correctly.
First of all, telling your parents that you want it done, and that OTHER PEOPLE HAVE IT DONE!!!! isnt the best way to go about begging. It shows a lack of maturity. You just want to follow the crowd.
So sit them down and tell them that you're doing it because you like the way it looks. Do some research on the net about how to prevent what can go wrong. Get your facts right.
Pull your weight around the house. Be a generally good person. Show them that its not going to change you. I had to fight for all 6 of mine- and I did fight hard. But dont bug them. Get your argument together and make it a big one-time hit. Act mature.
Good luck!

Go do some research on it.
and sit them down and go over it with them.
Make sure you go and get it done with a needle at a professional piercing place, you can also take your parents to the place with you to talk to a piercer to go over the way it will be done and the after care that it will require.
and find a way to show your parents that you are responsible enough to handle it.
And if that doesn't work ask if you could do something to maybe make them consider you getting one.
such as making certain grades on next progress report, or doing extra stuff around the house.
Good luck!!!!

Well I will tell you, I don't think you should do earring piercing cause if you don't like earrings anymore you have a hole in your lobe or a lump from the scar tissue the rest of your life.
My oldest begged and begged for years and when she got it done at 18.. she found out she was allergic to most of the metals... she hardly wears earring except at holiday time. The rest of the time she walks around with a hole in her lobe. So much for getting what you want. One of her guy friends got a nose piercing, we told him it was not a good idea, and he got so infected he was turning green and had to be on antibiotics!
Be careful for what you wish for.. you may get it and be surprised you dont' want it anymore.

They are proberly worried about it getting infected or maybe the price?
Show them you are responsible.
Offer to buy the pearcing your self and promise to take good care of it and clean it daily.
