As a way to try to establish dominance. My female dog sometimes humps my male dog, even though that's obviously not how they could have sex...and beside that, she is spayed.

Neutering will not stop him mounting. It is dominance trait. You need to stop him by instilling your authority on him. As he is obviously not going to be used at stud(you are considering neutering) you can be very firm with him. Next time he does it grab him by the scruff of his neck, push him onto his back and growl at him as if you were another more dominant dog. Keep him there till he relaxes then let him up and praise him gently. You may need to do this a number of times till he gets the message. Just be grateful he is not attacking the other dogs as that would mean legal action.

Dogs constantly try to dominate each other. That is dog instinctive behavior, among the rituals they go through every time they meet each other.
Among the many dog dominance behaviors, those surrounded by perhaps more myths than any others are dog mounting problems and dog humping women. No, contrary to popular opinion, these obnoxious dog instinctive behaviors have absolutely nothing to do with sex. How embarrassing, though,
your dog is showing you who's the boss. you need to yell at him and prob smack his but every time he does until he realizes who's in charge

I have a 10 year old mixed black lab and she has been spayed. She tries to mount her son who is bigger than she is. She is trying to prove to him that she is boss and the alpha dog. So that would tell me, that your dog is doing the same thing, to show you who's boss. Good luck.

He does it because in his mind he does not have a clear picture of you being the alpha in your pack and he is trying to assert his dominance on you. How have you been treating this dog? Does he have any OB training in him? Does he respect your commands? These are things that you need to look at when you ask this question, good luck!!

I love all dogs that are not mean, or ones that run away. They are only dogs. Dogs do not think if you like or dislike what they are doing unless you teach them to stop it or encourage them to obey without being mean to them. Try to have some treats with you when they behave and doing what you want. Remember to give plenty of love and lots of petting. They all love attention. (so do I)

he is trying to dominate you...you are his follower. do some training with him make use he understands your his leader. when he starts to mount you push him aside make him lay down...keep doing so until he either leaves the room or lays with you...not hmmm on you=). do some basic commands with him like come and sit and lay down.

I think it's because he thinks that he is still not neutered and he wants to have a baby with you. Every time he jumps on you scold him or let him know that you don't want to do that and that he is neutered and he can never be a dad.

It's a dominance act, he's trying to assert himself. Don't let him do this to you.
