Hi I'm 27, and since I got contact lenses I have been getting looks from guys.. well I happen to look about 19 or 20, because I'm petite. If one of these guys approach me and start talking, and then ask what my age is, and I tell them I'm 27, they might get dissinterested.. like I'm just a boring old lady.. why is this? Am I no fun anymore? Thank you

I would think that age is not as important as attraction, unless they are under-age. It is really hard to determine anyone's age from 20 to 40 and beyond based on physical appearance. The older you get the less age makes a difference. There is a usually a big maturity gap between a 18-20 yr. old guy just out of school and a 27 year old who is probably into a career etc. You may be in different places in your lives with different goals. But you don't have to tell them your age, judge them based on maturity. I am also a petite female judged much younger than my actual age most of the time (and I am much older than you). Take advantage of it, you can date younger guys if you like, they are many times attracted to "older women". I date guys 10-15 years younger and really enjoy it!

As a 27 year old guy, I have to say that any guy that does that is not worth your time. Age to me is not a factor unless the other is underage. these days people are dating older or younger people than themselves when the age difference could be 8 years, but generally around 4 is most common. It all about the personality of the person. You based on your question sound like someone who is open and treats yourself well health wise. don't let those kind of guys bother you. I have known now Ex-friends who treated girls who were and are my friends like you said and it makes me wish i could have stopped it from the start. Be yourself if a guy thinks your immature based on how young you look, then I'd say make him feel like he is not worth it at all either. And Also if ever a comment about your age is said by a guy, I'd fire back and say least you act your age and look better doing it. ^_-. Hope all answers will help you in some way, best of luck

I'm guessing the guys are of the 19-21 age bracket. From my expereince a lot of guys this (my) age think that a woman is starting to become mature, my way of putting it is that she is starting to think in a certain way. Whereby she is looking for more serious relationships with men her own age or older. I was chatting up a girl the other day and asked her her age and she said 23 and I thought oh crap. No chance. If you respond well to a guy you like who tries to chat you up and asks you your age, he should not lose faith. You shouldn't have to be all over him though. Good luck.

The correct answer is, "Didn't your mother teach you that it is impolite to ask a lady her age?" then follow it up with a laugh and say, "Age is just a number!" or, "You're only as old as you feel." or something on those lines. Perhaps they are checking to see if you are legal age or jailbait! lol. Anyway, it could be you are actually causing the disinterest because you feel like they will be disinterested. Have you ever heard of the law of attraction?

I wanted to answer your other question but it was not open so I was going to IM or email you but you are not set up for that. My husband is a gemsetter/goldsmith. I put "goldsmith salary" into google search and came up with a lot of information that led to this page: http://www.jobfutures.ca/noc/734.shtml

No, you've still got a few good years left in you.
Those guys are just insecure about dating a woman they perceive as "older". That's OK, you don't want some wimpy kid anyhow. If you are bothered by it, avoid answering the question. Come back with "young enough to remember how, old enough to know better." or some thing like that. Eventually you'll have to admit your age, but by then he'll be so taken with you by then that it will no longer matter to him.

Matbe they are just interested in younger girls. Which doesnt mean you should say that you are 19 or 20 just tell them your age and if they are goood enough for you they willlw ant to start something up with you. No matter what the age is!

Well some guys might want to be older than who they're dating or be close of age. See it this way. If I (a guy) was 30 years old, would it be weird to date a 22 year old girl? same thing.

Obviously you look very fun ..... or they would not come up to talk ...... be choosey.

Any guy scared off by a 27 year old isn't worth the effort.
