That depends on the child. Some are good about holding hands & walking with parents by 2 yrs, other kids are runners, they need to stay in the stroller longer. Most strollers do have a weight limit listed, so definitely not longer than when they reach that weight. I think by about 3-4, kids should be able to walk with parents rather than using the stroller, unless it is going to be a very long walk to where you are going. I have seen in the mall parents with kids at least 7-8 sitting in the stroller, clearly too big to sit in the thing (legs are too long to fit, some kids drape their legs over the stroller tray), I think that is just laziness, and the parents are promoting it.

it depends on the child... some kids are small for there age and they are still in a stroller until 5 or 6. some kids are lazy and they dont like walking...my nephew is 3 & he has been walking to & back from every store in the mall since he was 1 1/2 years old and my son is the same age & he is lazy & does not walk not even to the corner store. i guess you use the stroller until the child doesnt want it anymore. there is no problem being in a stroller... i believe you should take the stroller away when the child reaches the age of 4..

Depends. After 3, they should be able to walk just about anywhere but if you're going to Disneyland, I've seen 5-6 year olds in a stroller because that's a lot of walking.

Even though my daughter is 3 years old I still use my stroller in some situations, like the mall for instance. People dive like A$$holes in mall parking lots so I use it to make a safe entrance inside. Also its great to store all my shopping bags in as well.

I would say 2. I see people putting newborns in the real cheap ones and the baby is all squashed. It is cruel.
Depends on your child and the quality of stroller you buy.
