Good moral values and a system for governing social interactions don't suck. The only thing that "sucks" are the ignorant people which make up 99% of the population. Atheists and Christians I am talking to you.

Religion takes Place in the Mind.
There is a lot of Good Moral Teaching in religions.
Kinda' like a Club where you go to Learn How to be a Better Person.
There is Nothing Wrong with this part of religion.
Now, Fanatics can take Part (or All !) of a "religion" and do Harm With it.
REALITY is different from "religion".
Reality takes Place in the Spirit of Man, not the MIND.
Getting your Spirit Recreated (Saved, Born-Again) so that you can go to Heaven, is an Actual RECREATION of your Spirit (not your Mind).
Religions are NOT Capable of ReCreating your Spirit.
Jesus is The Only One Who can Recreate it for you.
religions only affect your Mind---for Good I Hope.

Religion doesn't suck, on the contrary if you accept whatever religion you follow and ALL other religions that you'll find it is very rewarding.

religion is all about control, control everything someone else does in order to protect someone else's way of life. sounds like democracy, don't it?

Religion "sucks" because it is Ego driven, and has absolutely nothing to do with Truth.

i always found it curious that people who are extremely anti-religion go out of their way to discuss religion....
and usually they just mean Christianity....you don't see a lot of people going after hindus or bhudists...

In general it doesn't suck. Most of the time it's fascinating.
People gleefully threatening other people with hell because of their beliefs, though, that sucks. And some people *do* threaten gleefully.
Tiffany: You don't see Hindus or Buddhists gleefully threatening other people with damnation just because they don't believe in Hinduism or Buddhism.
