A traveling evangelist came into a small town to preach the good news of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. While looking for the post office to mail a letter home, he came across a young boy playing in the streets, and asked him:

“Hello there, young man! Could you kindly tell me the way to the post office?”

The boy smiled, stood proud, and pointed him in the right direction.

“Thank you, dear sir, for your help! This evening, I will be sharing about the way to heaven – and I would love for you to come!”

To which, the boy looked down and sheepishly responded:

“O.K. But…um, I don’t think I’ll come.”

After a short pause and with a confused and deeply concerned look, the evangelist replied:

“Oh. Well, that’s O.K., my friend. But do you mind if I ask you why not?”

And the boy answered:

“Well…you didn’t even know the way to the post office!”

The Word of God tells us that we are made to "sit together in HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ Jesus" right here in this world; Ephesians 1:3, 2:6, 3:10; Hebrew 3:1, 6:4. We can lay hold on eternal life right here in time. How?

Luke 7:35, Jesus said, "...WISDOM IS JUSTIFIED OF ALL HER CHILDREN". Jesus is telling us that Wisdom bares children. Babes in Christ must grow into manhood, just as natural babes must grow. Hebrews 5:12-14, "For when for the time ye OUGHT to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as HAVE NEED OF MILK, and not strong meat. For every one that useth MILK is unskilful in the word of righteousness; FOR HE IS A BABE. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of FULL AGE, even those who by reason of USE have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil". These babes are still children of God, but are not WISE. Only through having intimate relations with the Word of God, does one become a child of Wisdom, and this is how we lay hold on eternal life, which is Christ in us. This is how Christ is formed in us; we learn who He is. We grow into a man of God thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Galatians 4:19, "MY LITTLE CHILDREN, of whom I TRAVAIL IN BIRTH AGAIN until Christ be formed in you". These, whom Paul was addressing, were already babes in Christ, so the travailing in birth AGAIN was the travail of wisdom being born in them; the mind of Christ being formed in them.

A babe in Christ can die a 100 years old; never having been born of Wisdom.

Children tend to look at things with such logic.
But the way to heaven Is through Jesus Christ. Repent admit you're a sinner and ask Jesus to wash you In His Blood, making you whiter than snow (wiping your spiritual slate clean). Ask Him to be the Lord & Savior of your life, surrendering ALL to Him. The only way to the Father Is through Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for ALL.I've seen many say that all roads lead to God or heaven. A lie from satan !
Jesus said I am the way the truth & the life and no one comes unto the Father except by ME.
It's all about Jesus and what He did. He paid a debt He didn't owe,and a debt we couldn't pay. He took the sins of the world upon Himself. But we have to receive what He did In order to reap the benefits of what He did for us.
Spend time with God through His word and prayer. We're to take up our cross daily. This Is not a one time deal. We're told to work out our salvation with fear & trembling. Today Is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late. It's a choice. You're either serving God or satan right now.
In refuing Jesus and what He did you've made your choice already. This Is something you have complete comtrol over, Your Choice In Who You Serve. Choose Life. Make your heavenly reservation today.

Cute story...sounds like something my son would say...and it sounds like something a lot of people say when Christians who seem to be lost themselves try to point them in the right direction!

Do I know the way to heaven...no, like the evangelist, I'm a traveler in a strange place and I don't have a clue where it is or how to get there. Like the evangelist, I decided to ask for directions from someone who does know...but unlike the boy who just pointed the way, Jesus offered to lead me there!

Do I know the way to heaven?...no, but I know someone who does and as long as I follow him, he'll lead me right to the door!

How cute. This is a good example of the fact that even though the Bible is not a perfect and exhaustive record of EVERYTHING, it is the most reliable source of the most important things in our life = the way to heaven. The Bible tells about the Truth, Jesus Christ and He is the ONLY Way to the heaven. When I place my faith in Him, I have the Way to the heaven

the evangelist is the postoffice that can bring you to heaven.
the evangelist can not find the earthly postoffice.
the boy is the letter that should be send to a destination via a postoffice.
the boy has little confidence in a postoffice that can not find its equivalent.
the postoffice asks why not to the letter.
the letter is unreadable by the postman.

The way to heaven is through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Cute story. Don't need an intermediate service to get to Heaven -- gonna enter in by virtue of Christ' sacrifice.

the way to heaven is something that can only be dealt with in this reality where it concerns morals- yes i agree w/ jesus's life--

but this much you should be concerned about in getting there-
jesus most likely had experienced in former lives the entirety of what it's like to be bound and gagged by transience and the frustrations that all of you take for granted

if you go enough so to expand a contemplation on moral implications, than the context there would have to use a vocabulary and a tone that would be able to address the concerns of the entirety of what's at stake in not getting along with your fellow man, and even the mormon approach fails to address the full qualities of human experience in accomodating for allowable stealings and allowable murders and allowable obviousnesses. so THAT is my message to you-- account for allowable lapses in judgment and do them with an heir of symbolism with a huge amount of politeness to anyone and anything that at least tries to promote peace with the universe and god and whatever word describes the ultimate reality that we humans are involved with continually.
