The health benefits of honey are a little bit of a mystery. Honey is a very complex mixture of natural chemicals. Some people believe that unprocessed honey contains natural antibiotics and micronutrients that are very beneficial to health, and others point to studies that fail to find any health benefits. Whether or not there are health benefits from pure honey, most of the things believed to be healthy are removed from processed honey. So, processed honey is is mostly water, sugar and carbohydrates, along with small amounts of vitamins and minerals.

Twenty grams of honey are similar to 20 grams of any other type of dietary sugar or carbohydrate, so whether its too much depends on your total sugar/carbohydrate intake. The risks of eating large amounts of honey are caused by the sugar, so the risks are similar to eating large amounts of other high-sugar foods such as candy.

It is good when your replacing sugar for honey from your normal diet. But if your just eating it to lose weight or such its not going to help

Typical honey analysis

* Fructose: 38%
* Glucose: 31%
* Sucrose: 1%
* Water: 17%
* Other sugars: 9% (maltose, melezitose)
* Ash: 0.17%
* Other: 3.38%
It is natural sugar our body will easily produce it.
20g of honey is not to much!
