why do they need anyone to know how generous they are , is it a case of ' i'm gonna do a little bit for charity and i'm gonna make sure that everyone knows about it ? How much do they give away ,i've never watched it all the way through because there self promotion makes me sick, i can tell you that there are people who have a lot less money who still give to charity and help people ,now if they were giving away half of all they had i'd be impressed .

I think the only reason they do it is get themselves on TV, boast about how wealthy they are and how they are generous to the "little people", if they were genuinely wanting to help people less fortunate than themselves then they would do it anonymously, basically they are not giving their money away, they are paying for publicity.
I don't watch the program, they just annoy me, they are just big headed, egotistical morons, who shouldn't be given the time of day.
Right, enough ranting, time to put the kettle on.

I totally agree.
If someone can afford to give away vast sums of money to charity, why do they feel the need to let the whole world know?
In my opinion it is nothing more than an ego trip. One to let everyone know that they have loadsamoney and two brag to everyone about how generous they are with it.
In the highly unlikely event that I am ever in the position to be able to afford to give large sums of money away, I will be happy to do it, but would insist on total anonymity.
