I find myself here about forty hours a week. That's a full time job!!

Born again Catholic. I am happy to hear that you are defending your "faith" and not your "denomination". One of my main reasons for being here is to defend the "Gospel of Christ".

Hghostinme: Yes I am in agreement with you. I have learned a lot since I have been here. I have even changed some of my opinions. It is a great place to learn about others beliefs as well as share the truth of the gospel.

Nina: Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have been compensated with 1,373 best answers and the opportunity to fellowship with other believers like yourself. It is a great reward.
Thankyou and Blessings

I do think it is compelling. I hesitate to say it is addicting because that would give it a somewhat negative connotation. Once, I had a seed of truth planted in me deeply. I asked Jesus into my heart and found he was already there. Shortly thereafter I stumbled upon YA. I do not hesitate to say that the thoughtful questions and answers that I have read here have changed my life. The truth in your words, Kait, and others on here, I can not thank God enough for leading me here.

LOL. Too bad you do not get compensated for your contribution. You always have such great answers, so at least you do not really waste your time here.

I normally spend a little bit time to read and select questions and answers from my contact list, then some times I visit quickly "in the ZOO" ; ) which is the R/S question board. Then I pray about the subjects I am going to ask. I would estimate I spend together 1 - 2 hours a day here reading and writing ( Writing takes me a bit of time becuase I do not use cut and paste ). I do not know if it is addiction, but anything I do, I like to be consistent. I am working for the Lord.

Far, far too many hours. Definitely addicting. I can probably rationalize it by telling myself I'm defending my faith ... but what was I doing with my spare time before Y!A came along? When this starts to encroach into the hours I should be spending doing other things, and it has, it's probably past time to take an unflinching look at why I'm really sitting here.

It's very probable, Kait, that because my tendency toward procrastination when it comes to the less rewarding tasks of life is something this activity plays right into, I should consider giving up any Internet activity other than e-mail and work as a Lenten penance this coming season. If that's the case with others besides me, you'd almost have the Christian field to yourselves for 40 days! In that event, do be kind to us, will you? :)

Hi sister in the Lord. I sit here listening to gospel music and come across your question.

It is such a blessing to see the Christian warriors for the faith.

I come here allot. Yet, it is not out of enjoyment, but out of the urgency in the spirit. So many today believe with their lips, but their hearts are far from God.

Part of the reason is being held in religions where they are not being fed. Most churches today have become ritualistic. In other words, the same thing goes on week after week. The movement of the Holy Spirit is slight if existent at all.

So I come here to debunk all the many lies that exist about that which I believe in. The Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ.

May the Lord bless you and keep you thou good and faithful servant. Walk in his spirit always.

Hmm I would have to say 15 hours, since I only come here USUALLY during the week days ( Today I am somewhere else so I am able to get on the computer) But usually 3 hours a day during the weekdays- spread out of course. It is a hobby and I love sharing God's truth with others!

I spend about 10 to 15 hours a week on R&S. Some times I like to go to psycology and give some answers also. I think R&S is a great opportunity to practice your appologetics towards others. It hones your skills and lets you learn from fellow brothers and sisters. Sometimes it is great to get alot of thumbs down to be on the side of God's word. I also like to read others brothers and sisters answers to give them a thumbs up when they are attacked by votes when they are right on. We should encourage others along their path that they do not grow weary of thumbs down. I view my time here as service to the Lord and to fuel my addiction, lol.

WE SERVE AN AWESOME GOD

I find myself here longer than I should be. I don't know if it's quite 40 hours or not because I've never actually watched the clock. If I had 40 hours to spare, I probably would be though. It is pretty addicting.

Too many, to say the least. probably 1- 4 hours a day. I have learned to try and let it be a way to let God use me in the R&S department. I try to stay out of polls and survey's when I'm bored though. That just racks up unnecessary hours.
Yes its addicting.

J Lu, thank you for your testimony here. You are proof that God uses it for his will and for his kingdom.

I'm on here about 1/2 an hr a day. I strive to not allow it to take time away from things God has placed in my heart to do. With many trials going on around me, I have to be careful not to use this as an escape from what I am to focus on, that being my family. God's guidance is why I left myspace. I was using it as an escape, but since it was in "God's honor" I told myself it was ok.

I'm not trying to condemn anyone for being on here defending their faith or God, etc. But God does not need to be defended, He does that himself. :)

God bless.
