A lot of the Bible has been mistranslated or purposely changed to lead men astray from the original plain and simple truths. You are not alone. That does not mean it does not have value. You have to pray along with reading it to ask God to clear up the parts that Man has corrupted. It does get easier for much of it. Hang in there. It is worth it.

Hi.
Read this...
Exodus 21:28 - If an ox gores someone, "then the ox shall surely be stoned".
Exodus 21:29 - If an ox gores someone due to the negligence of its owner, then "the ox shall be stoned, and his owner shall be put to death".
Exodus is joke ! I mean, the whole bible is.
See you

You are not really reading it in the right way. May I suggest that you look for themes and stories before you get bogged down in details. If you like poetry, try the Psalms or if philosophy, try Ecclesiastes. If dreams, try Revelation. You will need a guide as well. Any good Minister will help you but don't let him/her brainwash you with dogma. Draw your own conclusions from what you have understood.

Starting from the beginning and trying to read through it is not an easy task. Perhaps you are not ready to do that yet.
Maybe it would be better for you to try to read it "one bite at a time.
You can go to this link and have them send you a daily devotional. This type of reading gives you a few verses and tells you what they mean and how to use the teaching in your daily life.

Try to find a sane (ie no comics) Teen Study Bible, regardless of your age. They often have a lot of helpful notes in the margins to assist in explaining the thicker passages!

Try starting with Matthew in the New Testament, dear one, it's much easier to understand. It's actually an excellent read!

Ahaha, you will never get through the Bible, because none of it makes sense lol. Maybe pray to God to help you make sense out of it.
That's one thing, why did God create a book that everyone has trouble reading, and don't know if they should read it literally or metaphorically?

i don't know what part you are having trouble with. give a verse or chapter. otherwise i catagorize it under fantasy. i have not seen anyone prove the egyptians turned sand into fleas or any of their miracles. little of the bible makes sense unless you are baptised into the brain washing and mind controlling doctrine and theology. keep your wits. there are greater things in the world than sitting and dissecting a book of fables.

In order to really understand the Bible you need to first commit your life to God. He is obviously calling you. Simply answer by saying to Him, Dear Jesus, I believe you are my only true savior and I ask you into my heart today. Go to a Bible based church (you can explore a few) and ask someone to help you study. I guarantee, It WILL make sense!
