Hell=Grave
What is the meaning of the word "hell" in the Old Testament? "Hell" is always translated from the Hebrew word Sheol (which is used 65 times in the Old Testament) and means simply "the world of the dead". There is no hint of a place of fire (Jonah 2:1-2). Sheol is translated as "grave" 31 times, "hell" 31 times, and "pit" 3 times. "Sheol" is translated as "grave" in Psa.89:48, Job 17:13, where both Job (a godly man) and the wicked go to Sheol (hell). Sheol is described in terms of overwhelming floods, water, or waves (Jonah 2:2-6). Sometimes, Sheol is pictured as a hunter setting snares for its victim, binding them with cords, snatching them from the land of the living (2 Sam. 22:6; Job 24:19; Ps. 116:3). Sheol is a prison with bars, a place of no return (Job 7:9; 10:21; 16:22; 21:13; Ps.49:14; Isa.38:10). People could go to Sheol alive (Num.16:30,33; Ps.55:15; Prov.1:12).

Dynamic H, According to the Bible .... there is no such place as Hell , your question makes no sense.
Which word are you using as Hell ?
1) “Sheol” 2) "Hades” 3) "Gehenna" and 4) "Tartarus," are not hell.
1) Sheol is the gloomy place of the dead.
2) Hades is a Greek mythical realm.
3) Gehenna is where you go to be judge for your lifes deeds ( a kind of waiting room ) .
The name Gehenna comes from the name of a valley outside Jerusalem where children were sacrificed to the Ammonite god Molech.
4) Tartarus is the Greek mythical underworld of Hades.
Where is Hell in the Bible ?
Personally it is my belief the Hell concept was developed by the Christians as a means to control the population and stop the flock from straying – to frighten little children and Atheists into in believing.

I gave a "thumbs up" to Hell=Grave but the rest might be a little misleading. Though Hell, Hades and Sheol all mean the grave, what takes place there?
Psalms 146:4 and Eccles. 9:5,10 all show the dead are not able to accomplish any work, memory, thought or feeling. Thus they would not notice pain or pleasure no matter where they were.
The grave was introduced after Adam & Eve, who were meant to live forever, violated their one law. The penalty was death. They were to return to the ground, back to dust as science tells us our bodies are components of. (Genesis 3:19)
Humans home is the earth. We were never meant to go to heaven until when Jesus began a new covenant with his people after the last Passover he celebrated. It was then opened up for a select number of them to reign with him in heaven as kings and priests. For the rest of us, we aren't made to feel second best as we have God's original purpose for man. That is to live forever on a paradise earth as Psalms 37:9-11 shows.

according to the bible Hell is simply the grave.it is not a place of eternal flames and torture and Satan is not in charge.the wicked along with Satan and the one third of the angels that Satan deceived will be burned up completely in the lake of fire.this is the second death which will not touch the ones saved by the blood of CHRIST at Calvary. each person is judged by their life and no one comes to heaven except through JESUS CHRIST just being a good person is not getting you to heaven.many people who do not repent of their sin and ask for forgiveness will burn in the lake of fire .the ones who practice false religions and idolatry and witchcraft also.homosexuals and the ones who support this abominable lifestyle also and all other hypocrites and liars,thieves,adulterers,abortionist etc. .but the ones who accept JESUS and keep his commandments and have the testimony of JESUS and faith and look to the second coming of CHRIST they will be called the children of GOD! read revelations the king james version of the holy bible it is all there and is no secret,do not be deceived! BLESS YOU IN YOUR QUEST FOR TRUTH!

Hell wasn't made for humans. Only the devil and his demons. Rejecting God is one way someone can go to hell.
