everything to me. I know how it feels to lose family, friends, boyfriends, but I never want to find out how it would feel to lose the love of God. I survive and thrive on it.

God loves us anyway. No matter what we do or what we've done he loves us. He may not like the sin but he loves the sinner. We just have to try to be more like Him everyday and when we fall just get back up and start again. Knowing He loves me gives me the strength to carry on. How great ii is that with faults and all and no matter where we've been He still forgives us when we repent.

Well, Judaism (Old Testament) gives ideas such as:
Grace (receiving something a person shouldn't ordinarily receive at all - grace out of the blue skies so to speak)
and
Mercy (receiving no punishment for something for which there might be punishment)
so that perhaps is what "God still loves you" means.

God still loves you means that no matter what you do his love will never fade or become obsolete. It's just like a mother who loves you child unconditional despite faults that she may see in a her child and that is exactly how God feels about us. There is nothing that we can do that will make his love diminish. Hope that helps.

It means He loves us, imperfections and all. He is saddened when we do things we shouldn't. God hates bad things, not the people who do the bad things. God has told us how to live, and when we ignore that priceless instruction it will lead to eternal death. Just because He loves us doesn't mean He will abandon justice. When we try to draw closer to God, He draws closer to us. It helps keep us from doing stupid things, and helps keep our conscience clear and our heart in the right condition.

To me, it usually translates as "I can't come up with anything rational to refute what you've just said, so I'm going to throw out that statement as a debate-ender before I leave in a huff"
