Last Race Of The Cup Chase and Let's Say Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon are Tied In Points... And There Running 1 and 2 on the final lap... If your in 2nd place would you tap your buddy on the side to get him sideways and possibly even know it might mean wrecking him?

Cause I'll tell you right now friends and team-mates are different when you get onto the track.

So I think I would do it....

Would you do it?

Only if I knew I had the faster car and we weren't team mates like Gordon and Johnson. In fact, Jeff Gordon owns 50% of the 48 car, so it's not likely with those 2 anyway.

it wouldn't matter Johnson only has to win 18th or better!!! Gordon wouldn't be that person, that's why Hendricks is who they are the best team in Nacar because they are a very smart organization!!! We have seen this before it the regular season and Johnson took the lead remember??? There was no wrecking!!!

Always knew second place was the first loser. Honestly, JJ and JG can show how good of friends they are on the outside, but there is obviously turmoil behind closed doors.
I would if I were a driver, take out anyone in my way to the championship!

I would do it, and so would Jeff, but I don't know about Jimmie. Johnson knows that he could wreck himself trying, but Jeff is probably one out of three or four active drivers who can make that kind of move without wrecking himself.

When it comes down to the end and wanting to win the Championship you will bump and go or whatever as long as you dont wreck him or take him out. You have to remember that you are a team, but the biggest thing is who writes your paycheck. You dump your teammate and falls out of the run then you loose out on sponsors favor as well as owner and who would want you as a teammate. Its good to fight and battle for position, but when you take one out in a crucial time its bad news.

If I had a faster car and the first place car was blocking of course I would move them over. If the lead car was faster or the same then I would leave them alone.

There is a proper time to move someone over or wreck them.

I think they would for this reason only. They are so far ahead in points that one of them will win it. I guarantee you if Tony or someone was 10 points back, they'd be on their best behavior...and boring.

I most certainly would. I think that Jimmie and Jeff would too!

Yeah its all about the win at that point. There are no more teammates. I think we saw how hard they will race at the 1st Martinsville race.

I would do it.

Depends on where the 3rd place car in points is.
