I developed a new hearing protection system for dogs to help calm them during thunderstorms. It's a very lightweight terrycloth headband type device with foam inside. It straps around the dog's head and attaches with velcro underneath. There's also foam ear pads that rest comfortably just outside the ear canal. The headband wraps over the ears and keeps the ear pads in place. The combination of the ear pads and foam headband greatly reduces the noise intensity.
It works great on my dog but looking for feedback from others.
It is pending patent but not available for sale quite yet.
And no, it's nothing like MuttMuffs...not even close. My price isn't close either;-)

they don't take submissions. There are 2 techniques it happens. First, somebody on the dogs nutrition company can basically employ a photographer, and employ a dogs from an animal understanding company for the shoot. Alternately (and particular optimum in lots of situations) they basically purchase a inventory image of a suitable dogs and located that on the product.

It doesn't sound like something I would by, mostly cause my dogs aren't really scared of the sound, but of the electricity in the air during thunderstorms.

You would also have to see how easy it would be for a novice to put it on their dog as well as how the dog reacts to try to get it off. Most dogs don't like things on their heads. Keep in mind, by the time the normal owner got around to putting it on their dog, the storm will already be at its height.

It's actually not hard to condition your dog to remain calm during storms. Just help him associate thunderstorms with positive things (like sitting on the couch with mommy eating popcorn and watching tv). After a while, the dog will associate the storm with something really positive.

And you will sell it too. I am laughing (sorry), but you will sell it. Dogs are fearful of too many things simply because they were born fearful. What will people think of next. We are purposely breeding "pretty" dogs with such terror that they need prozac and medical devices in this nation. May God have mercy on our souls.

My dog doesn't mind thunderstorms so it wouldn't be something I'd buy but I have heard about dogs with fear of storms. I'd mainly be concerned about my dog taking it off and ripping it to shreds.

I'd buy one for my dog she is deathly afraid of thunder. I wonder if it would help her around fire? She is also afraid of the crackling of fire in the fireplace.

This is the same question you asked earlier. Please don't post repeated questions as it's very frustrating and annoying.
