Hey Yepp!! Listen girl..he is a playing all over you. He prob. wanted to make her jeoulous by going out with you. You deserve better than that. sounds like he's undecided as to what he wants in life, or at least in a girlfriend. and until he decides and gets his head on straight, you'll just be among a long line of brief relationships.
if you are worth having, that is, in his mind, then he will come back and give it another try. otherwise, just figure out what you want and go and get it girl!
