If you go the the book of 1Corinth 7, the apostle paul talk about divorce , in context of the bible divorce is not allowed except in a circumstance when a christain ( A believer) marries a non christain and The Non christain wants to Leave the person is not bound to that marriage. However Jesus also stresses anyone that divorces their wife except for marital unfaithfulness makes her an adulterer and that person that marries her is commiting adultery. I believe Jesus wants us to have that mindset to tread carefully into marriage and know it is for Life. We divorce these days for so many foolish reasons if Jesus says we should forgive then we as christains in marriage need to practice that with each other and work on our marriages instead of quiting every chance we get.cheers

Muslims encourage divorce. "If you cannot live peacably with a woman, you must divorce her," says the Koran.
Jesus Christ taught that divorce is invalid, that a married couple shall stay married in the eyes of the Lord. Jesus Christ taught that if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she is committing adultery. This is why Catholics for so many years were anti-divorce. There were many dysfunctional Catholic marriages. Now the divorce rate among Catholics is no different than any other group.
From another point of view, the Old Testament tell us that it is better to live in a cave alone than to share a splendid house with a scolding woman. So I would think that God is not all-out opposed to divorce, and actually prefers divorce for a faithful man rather than see him be troubled by a scolding wife.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said" The most hated thing in the sight of God from things that are allowed ,is divorce"
He also said that the Throne of God shakes when a divorce takes place!!
This is what Muslims believe God says about divorce
Others who have no idea about divorce in Isalm should either read up or stay silent.

My understanding of it is that Gods perfect will would be no divorce, but because of our hardness of heart we often reside in the imperfect. God has given in the Bible reasons when
he allows divorce.

Well, I'd say he doesn't want us to do it. But if we do, and we are repentant, Jesus will forgive us.
I think God would rather we just make better decisions in the first place.
I heard Mark Gunger (Laugh your way to a better marriage minute) on the radio talking about God's assistance in marriage. He said at no point in the Bible did God say he has "the one" picked out for us. It does say that he will help us through our relationships once we make our decision. We just need to seek God before a marriage choice, during, and if after. If we get divorced, we ought to listen to God's instructions that we dismissed the first time.

God hates divorce (Very clear in Malachi 2:16) because it hurts people and God is most interested in each of us. However when Jesus was here on earth in Body He never confronted "sinners" with their sin. He encouraged them. Jesus' real confrontations were with the religious hypocrites who were constantly confronting "sin". There is a clear right and wrong, however Jesus is first interested in you and only then in what you do!

Does god know about marriage or divorce? It is man made to run the society. If not, how can bigamy or polygamy exist.

Sorry, God doesn't think anything because he's fictional, some people like to make their own thoughts seem more important by saying God thinks this or that or hates this or that...it's just deception.
