If he loses enough of his brain to the level of a Christian, then yes he goes to Heaven.

God only wants mindless sheep idiots in his Kingdom.

One reason people are attracted to religion is that it gives us comfortable explanations to things we can't understand, like death and why there is suffering in the world. For this reason people are especially prone to conversion when they are going through a rough time in their life and are emotionally vulnerable. Also, even if you have not grown up in a religious home you would have to be living under a rock not to have heard quite a bit about Christian beliefs. I can't say this for sure, but I highly highly doubt that you would still have converted to Christianity instead of some other religion if you had been born in a country where the main religion is Buddhism or Hinduism. Again, I don't know you so I can't say that for sure, but since Christian beliefs are such a big part of our society you were almost certainly already biased toward Christianity whether you realize it or not. Most likely if you were born in a Hindu country many of the Christian beliefs, like the creation story would have just seemed rather silly to you and you wouldn't have taken it seriously at all. The only reason that we give these stories any credibility at all is because we grow up hearing them, otherwise we wouldn't take the Christian story of creation any more seriously than we take the Hindu polytheistic creation story.

Sometimes not all the time, that is some people's wake up call. But the Bible says nothing is impossible with God. So There is a possiblility he would have, because the Bible says we were predestined before the foundation of the world, so the tumor just made the Atheist act sooner. He would have been save anyway, the tumor wasn't the reason that is how he/she took it. But it was Satan in reality trying to take them out before they made that move, that is a soul he has lost.

If anyone for any reason becomes a born again Christian he is saved. People get saved on Death Row. Remember Jesus died on that cross so that all human beings would be saved, and have eternal life in Heaven, geting the tumor actually saved his life, The only thing that counts in this world is what you do for Jesus, praise the Lord for that Tumor.

I don't see the need to include the brain tumor in this question, If an atheist becomes a christian they are saved.

At least that's what I was always taught.

then maybe he was never an atheist. I certainly hope that becoming a Christian isn't what saves you, I believe being a good person and treating other people with respect and kindness should be what judges if you are quote on quote saved. There are quite a few christians that I believe are a lot crueler than atheists. Your religion shouldn't dignify who is or isn't saved, if that is being saved, I don't want to be, being a good/kind person is all that matters.

It's sad how religion sets people apart. Gives you a negative view on someone, just because of their beliefs, you may never get to truly know people.

Yes, and you can't declare he would never become a Christian without the tumor. Only God has the last word on everything. BTW I've has family members begged to come to the bedside of two dying atheists. They tend to get a bit desperate at the end of life, which makes me question their devotion to atheism. They beg the Christians to come and talk about God. Why don't they beg their atheist friends to come and discuss the joy and peace of not believing in God.

The true atheist goes down with the ship.

The fence sitter grabs the golden parachute.

That would be pretty cruel of your god to refuse someone while they're still alive, wouldn't it?

This question was asked in a different way here last week, something about if you were dying and someone was at your bedside and wanted you to pray with them, would you?

I think I responded, if they give me morphine, I would pretty much be at their command!

Edit:

I've lived this question already.

My soulmate was dying in the hospital October 2006. The ministerial people were summoned to the room by the nurse. I greeted them and they asked me if it would be ok to pray with her. I told them my decision would be for them to not, but they could ask her, and if she agrees to have them pray for/with her, I will go outside the room while it is going on.

Now mind you, she was already looped on diluadid and demerol, and she agreed to have them pray over her. She asked me if I wanted to stay, and I told her I had to leave, which I did , and I returned when I saw them walking down the hall. They looked at me and said "God bless you sir" and I bid them to have a good day and I returned to the room.

I asked her how she was feeling, and she never spoke of the prayer or what they said, so I didn't push it. She was dying. I can take comfort in that her last words to me were "I love you Tim"

If he is an atheist and decides to become a Christian and he truly believes and asks for forgiveness and to be saved, then yes he can be saved. God does not discriminate because of previous beliefs.

It is possible I would assume. The tumor could have been placed there by God(not that I truely believe that). I think that your religious beliefs are in your mind and your heart. He could have become a christian because of the tumor and he is a afraid of dieing. So if the tumor can be removed he may go back to his old lifestyle.
