Anybody knows someone who owns a Golden Retriever stud for pick of the litter ?

I would like to breed my female golden retriever. She is pure bred but without papers.

I'm in San Jose, California.

Do more research!! Have you gotten all of her health clearances taken care of. A responsible stud owner will not let you use his stud on a Golden w/o akc registration. PLEASE DO NOT BREED YOUR DOG. You'll be doing the breed more harm than good.

CAREFULL! it's unlikely a top notch stud with all health clerances will be allowed to mate with an unpapered female for pick of litter. If the untested stud passes say hip displasia on to the litter it will be YOU the puppy owners will be asking to pay for $2,000 of surgery (each). I'm not sure how CA puppy lemon law reads but in some states you could be leagally required to pay (for all 8-10 pups too)

Why . Number one she is not even registered , Then have you had her screened for hip and elbow problems and the same will have to be done for the male . Then when she is pregnate there are prenatal visits . She will start eating like a cow and It should be a high quallity puppy food to boot at $40 a bag. Then when she delivers saying that she doesnt have complications and need a C-section or at worst case die. You will need a welping box with side rails so that she doesnt crush the puppies when she is laying down . The puppies will need to go to the vet at 3 days to have their dew claws removed. Then she will even be eating more food to care for her pups. Then at about 3-4 weeks you will need to start supplimenting the puppies with food . The mother will stop cleaning up the puppy poop so you will need to step in here . Have you ever thought of cleaning up every hour for 8-12 puppies? They play in their poop strp in it roll in it . You will be going through tons of baby wipes. IF you have a job then then you will need to make at least one trip home about half way through the day to make sure things are cleaned up after and everyone is fed well. Then there is the wormer at 3-6-and 9 weeks .YUCK you will be Knee deep in spagetti type worms. I wouldnt dream of letting people see these pups untill they have had two sets of puppy shots . Parvo is very easy to bring in , guests to your home (if they will come because of the smell) can unknowingly bring it in on their shoes. You shouldnt let these pups be seen untill they have at least their first set of shots with time to let them take effect. SO you will have these pups untill they are at least 8 weeks old.That is alot of clean up . Meanwhile your beautiful golden will look like a homeless dog . Her hair will thin she will lose alot of wieght and she will be exasted from caring for these pups . Some mothers even give up at around 3 weeks to leave you with the work . Then you will need to find homes for 8-12 pups that you wont get much for because people want papers on their pup to spend much money . You will spend hours Interviewing doing home visits and placeing these pups. SO I hope this gives you some insite into this world . You don't know what your doing. You don't have a clue about breeding. Don't even try to put your poor dog through this because you want to use your dog as a cash crop. The only reason to breed is for the betterment of the breed and that we know is not the reason you want to breed.

You bought your dog from a BYB and that's what you would be.

Do your dog and everyone else a favor and get her spayed!

Fools must be my wager. Crate educated yet do not use a crate at the same time as he's not living house damaged & chasing the cats???? particular............. proper. won't be able to face ppl each and every from time to time, th way they imagine pets are disposable gadgets like a chunk of furniture or the utmost recent tech toy they could't determine out or doesn't paintings like they theory. good success with them promoting the kittens considering there are multiple free kittens & kitten season is ideal around the nook. At LEAST know what you're talking about when you're breeding. You just sound like someone who thinks they know what their doing when they really have no clue.
