Mostly people use it to make ice cream or fudge--something sweet that needs to be very creamy. Fudge recipe on back of Kraft Marshmallow Creme. Or--you can use it for homemade pumpkin pie.

Invariably I'm stuck with 1/2 a can leftover, so I replace the milk required in my mashed potatoes or my sweet potato casserole with evaporated milk. Makes it creamy and more substantial. Yum!

You can use it in receipes full strenght or you can dilite it with water for your hot drinks. Evaporated milk had some of the the water removed, and they added sugar to it. It is very rich and plenty of extra calories over regular milk.

Some use it in their coffee or tea.

some use it as cream with sugar on berries.

some only for cooking when the recipes call for milk, you can also use it when diluted as directed I think it is three cans of water to one can of condensed milk.

Carnation is the best.

You can follow the directions on the can to reconsitute the milk. If you are using it to bake or make something else then it is left in its original state to make foods thicker and richer.

Putting it in coffee's is always good. Pouring it on fresh or tinned fruit (especially fruit salad) is nice too.

I also once used it in a cheesecake recipe and that turned out nice.

I used it yesterday instead of regular milk when I was breading pork tenderloin. I mixed it with eggs my hens layed, and dipped the pork in my flour mix, then the milk/egg mix, and then again in the flour mix before frying the pork. It was great!!!
