Michealx
I don't believe in right or wrong.
I believe in, is it damaging or is it constructive. Your parents believe the are being constructive, when in fact they are being damaging. One can tell by the results of the action.
It is simple, your faith is being destroyed by controlling behavior in the guise of parental rights.
This dis empowers you, helping to create the potential monster syndrome ( made that up).
Micheal, I am 55 years old. Someone young persons have a hard time relating to. But I relate to you, My heart goes out to you. It has to be tough to be in your shoes.
My question is, how is it that adults forget what it is like to be young. Good way to get old fast if you ask me. No thanks, comes on its own naturally.
Hang in there pal. Always use your best judgment under all circumstance.

Again, people are so quick to label this abuse. Honestly, I was put in the same situation growing up, and sometimes you have to do things you don't want to when you are under your parents' roof. Just bear with it. They can make you go to church, but you are free to privately hold your own beliefs. When you are in college or living on your own, you can express them in your own way.

They are responsible for you until then.
Like so many other things in this life, sometimes we have to just gut it out.
You might try a bit of reverse psychology. Be polite and go without argument. Just because you go doesn't mean you are paying attention...

How old are you? Can you support yourself? There may not be much you can do. It is child abuse. But nothing much you can do about it. Remember what you went through when you have children and don't put your's through the same thing.
Good luck

Yes. Because until you turn 18 you belong to your parents. Also you are their responsibility in every way until then. They are making sure they are blameless before God for your soul. After you turn 18, its on you!!!!!!! Just wait it out. It'll come after than you think.

Actually I believe what they are doing is an infringement against your human right to worship in the manner that you choose.

I would not say that you are their property. I also think that trying to force feed religion onto someone will only backfire.
However, it is their house, and their rules.

I don't know where you are, but most of the US has a concept of an "emancipated minor"... get a job, get your own place, and live your life on your own at 16.
