They like the feel of the paper (I have three cats who do that, one while I'm READING the paper)

I think they do it to stop you reading it so that you give them the attention instead. :) When I'm on the computer, my cat comes over and sits right on top of the keyboard.

while i offered my chinchilla, he became fantastically wild and did no longer want to be around human beings. He did make noises while choosing him up. I discovered to %. him up with the two palms. it is took him somewhat a mutually as to get used to human presence , i could say 2 months or so. we've him for approximately 7 months and now he sleeps in the mattress, he loves being around human beings. merely like a canines! although we actually tried to spend with him a lot of time. He became out of his cage all day etc. So i could say merely supply him it sluggish and attempt to be around them in case you may. enable them to out of their cage...

My dog does this, I think they might remember it form when you were paper training them and you'd cover the whole floor at night in paper.
