i used to have the same problem with my daughter. try not to force it to her try letting her do it her self. like i would give my Lil girl the Lil measurement cup with the medicine in it and tell her "here mama your sick take this so you won't be sick" she' ll prob. be scared but tell her it taste like candy" and say look i have a cup of water so you can take it after .. also let her take her time taking it .. just make it seem like its something fun to do and she wont be scared.... and you don't feel scared ....

Have you tried the chewable versions? I know when my daughter was that age it was like wrestling a piggy to get her to take meds, then I had an "AHA!" moment where I realized "she has a mouth full of teeth" and I got the chewables and never had another problem. Good luck!

What helps my daughter who is also two, is taking a oral syringe and aiming toward the cheek. My hubby, blows into her face, causing a natural reflex of shallowing. Hope this helps.

You have to let her take it on HER terms. I don;t tell my children medicine tastes good when it does not. Otherwise they will not trust me in other matters, such as when I tell them that even though its yucky it WILL help them feel better. Unles it is potentially life saving, I don;t force them to take it either. They can either take it and feel better or be miserable.
