You could try a data recovery program. FreeUndelete (http://www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete/) is a free utility that may be able to help you. It will require that your camera (or the disk therein) be attached to your computer as a drive.

If, when you plug the camera into your computer, it appears as a drive in your My Computer window (presuming you're using Windows) then it should work.

Also, until you've attempted to recover the pictures, stop using the camera. Every time you take a picture, there's a chance that it will overwrite the portion of the storage disk where your old pictures were stored.

I doubt it, inless you have a save disk storage in your camera...i forgot what those thingys are called but they save your pictures for you....but if you don't have one....I don't know about the data recovery sites mentioned. I never tried them...I would just retake the picture over or get a throw away camera.

I agree, you can try a date recovery program and the 2nd answer has given you a link. But the answer, you know, is don't leave pictures on your camera - down load them to your computer and back them up. The camera is not intended for permanent storage.

GAWD...i wish, i took some really cool closeups of a wild bat some time ago and they deleted before i could get them proplerly downloaded,...it's not like i'll ever be that close to one again, i generally don't take a camera with me on to rooftops and into caves and bats don't care to pose much, either...especially with a flash involved...
