Of course it's not okay. Baby needs nourishment, and a vit tablet isn't going to give him what he needs.
This is the good part of a pregnancy. You're supposed to feel good, eat good, and be energetic. Something's wrong here.
Maybe you're anemic. Or maybe you have gestational diabetes. When's your next dr.s appointment? They need to know about this in case it's a symptom of something more serious.
In the meantime, make sure you get some protein every day--cheese, meat, peanut butter, beans. Get some fresh produce--carrot sticks or a prepared green salad from the deli at the grocery store. Buy food that has been prepared for you, even though it's expensive (your baby's health is on the line). Being as tired as you are, someone has to prepare nutritious food. Find that food and pay the price.
Do you have a Central Market? They have lots of chef-prepared foods that aren't overly pricey (Dinner for 2 that comes in the little paper bag. In our house dinner for 2 serves 4 for $13.99. All you have to do is microwave it. Lasagna with caesar salad and foccacia bread.)
Don't be afraid to order in. I order Chicken Lo Mein with triple vegetables. $8 and it feeds everybody.
Right now money isn't the issue. The issue is getting the baby healthy and strong.
Take a little walk every day. Get your system running by letting the exercise energize you.
Take care. Don't worry about the baby. Worry about feeding yourself and walking.

Its fine! I was the same way. The thought of fruit made me sick to my stomach and vegetables. Dont get me started. It was what the baby was craving. Anything else and i would have thrown up. My baby turned out great. But if you are really worried ask your doctor. Just keep taking your vitamins. Also try fruit with icecream in like a smoothy. That will definitely help it go down better and get your fruits in.

It is fine to have the things that you crave but at the same time you have to find a way to get healthy foods into your body.
It's great that you are taking your prenatal vitamins, but you still have to eat right.
I, like yourself, was unable to stand certain foods during my pregnancies. But I forced myself to eat them because I knew it was good for the baby. You don't have to eat big portions at a time. If you can just manage to eat one piece of fruit at or after each meal.
Maybe you could try the V8 (fruit and veggie) drinks as well.
Good luck and I hope you can find some way to get these essiential fruits and veggies into your system in order to have a healthy pregnancy.

BE HONEST WITH YOUR OGBYN-EAT WHAT U WANT WITHIN REASON. WHAT'S WRONG WITH U? DON'T LET THE TELEVISION OR THE FASHION INDUSTRY TELL U HOW TO LIVE. MEAT,CHEEZE AND GOOD FATS ARE WHAT BABY NEEDS. PROTIEN IS NUMBER ONE-TAKE YOUR PRENATES AND EAT LIKE YOU'RE SALLY STROTHERS AT A BUFFET AFTER THREE WEEKS IN THE DESERT WITHOUT CAKE OR PIE life and nutrition are a balance between good and evil the honest comment is so he or she(your doc) can monitor your intake and keep track of your protien levels, sugars, etc.

You body will sometimes crave the things that it needs, like salty foods and such. Cheese is really good because of the dairy in it....and as long as you aren't eating pizza & burgers every day, it shouldn't cause problems, except for excessive weight gain.

It's the salt it sounds like your body is wanting. When you are craving certain foods it's because your body is lacking. I had to watch my weight when I was pregnant with my son as I was very obese and all I wanted was cheese enchiladas, lol.
This site can help - it shows you what your body is REALLY craving... http://www.naturopathyworks.com/pages/cravings.php
I thought it was kind of neat :)

It's ok! As long as you are taking your vitamins you will be ok.
The baby will be fine becuase it takes all of your vitamins which is why you must take prenatal viatmins.
Just make sure you watch your carb and sugar intake. Gestational diabetes is serious.
