My opinion:
I don't mind if he/she is a rock guitar player, or one who is not wearing Hijab, or a professional European footballer who wears shorts, or one who does not grow beard, or one who has different view on Quranic interpretations or has totally different life styles, as long as...

1. As long as he/she does not betray/slander other Muslims.
2. As long as he/she does not give support to other religions to go against Islam.
3. As long as he/she give full support in terms of financial or effort, or atleast zakat & fitrah to the funds for the development of ummah & Islam.

What ever he thinks & practice, or levels of iman he might have, that's his own personal relations/things with God.. as He is the only one to judge a person.

Yes, Aera, thanks for correcting the grammar mistakes; however your opinion on religions of this world is partly correct, until you knew all about Islam, you'll agree that you have got it all wrong. : )

Da Man- "Whoever so misses a prayer (salah) without a valid reason is not a Muslim anymore"

How can this Hadith be true, first of all only Allah can deicide who is Muslim, who will be Muslim, and who is not Muslim. Hadith or no Hadith. If this is true why is it that we can make up our missed prayers? One will be forever Muslim until the day he decides in his heart other wise, and even that is through the grace of Allah. Allah leads whom he wants and misguides whom he wants. Can you call your self a scholar? I’m not. There are scholars who agree with some hadiths and there are scholars who disagree with some hadiths. The terrorists provide so-called hadiths on the web video of what there doing and say it’s right, so does that make them right because they provided a hadith?…..NO. Only Allah knows what is true, and only Allah can deicide who is Muslim or not. Again Hadith or no Hadith.

So my answer to the question is I expect Muslims to be kind and good to everyone Muslims or Non- Muslims. Follow the Shahadah.

Salam

They have to read everyday and read it all again. If they don't keep polished they are just fooling themselves.
READ!

As for someone that doesn't pray and is not a muslim anymore that is not correct. The teaching of Islam is where the angels sit not with someone that prays. Who ever told you that if you miss a prayer your not muslim is a radical idiot! Sorry but that is true. You have to give them 4000 escuses as to why they didn't attend the masjed that is called tolerance. We error and we get up and refresh again. I am sorry but I agree with Daman always because he is guided, and if he didn't pray for whatever reason, he can easily go wash get up and pray anytime. We can makeup anything before death the problem is when are you going to die?

As for shahada, its not an option. Shareeha, there is some that live in places its not held above the laws of those places so again, there is a contract with the area and that contract is what is held higher than shareeha. The Light can be given to anyone at anytime and taken away from anyone at anytime. Those who are guided remain in the guidance and those whom have allowed themselves to be led astray where never guided. Hadiths are not above the Quran and the Quran told you what to do and the Hadith explained it more. They complement each other, but the Quran is better than any hadith.

I agree with you to an extent but I can't say I don't care because I do care about their iman and their faith very much. I want the best for all Muslims (non-Muslims too). Also these things can help make the ummah stronger and if they were followed would be a sign of Islam and would be a good reminder to people.

I am guessing you aren't the type to have a beard, you wear shorts, you've dated, and I know you have different views on interpretations of the Quran so OF COURSE **YOU** wouldn't mind if somebody else did too. That's normal.

Most of people you described (rock guitar player, not wearing hijab, wears shorts, has different view on Quranic interpretations...) do all 3 points you mentioned.

Yes, iman is between human and God, but when an apple is rotten on the outside, the inside is also rotten. Those who neglect outer obligations have surely neglected the inner ones. The best are those who look good and Islamic and do good stuff.

Yes, I do agree with you, as long as we respect each other, everything is just fine but just don't follow their steps.

I would like to remind you that, we shall make friends with good muslims, at least those who perform solah as in hadith, solah will be the 1st deed that'll count in afterlife. Sometimes, if we dont have strong determination, we tend to follow their footsteps.

Try to focus on the "fardhu" deeds 1st before considering the "sunat" ones. Last but not least, as Muslims, we're brothers and sisters according to hadith and we shall support each others in a very good way for a good reason and for a good objective as mentioned in "Surah al-Asr".

Please don't critic them openly, do encourage them in a good way to follow the dos and the don'ts as our Prophet SAW never ever be sarcastics towards his followers and even to infidels. We must always pray for each other, hoping that we'll embrace the true way of living in Islam.

May Allah bless you in all your ways

like answering to this I agree-----> What ever he thinks & practice, or levels of iman he might have, that's his own personal relations/things with God.. as He is the only one to judge a person.
Which also gives no other muslims and other peoplke the right to judge anyone...including ones that give Islam a bad name like Osama Bin Laden

Salaam Alaykum,
Everyone is different. One's Iman is inside of them as mine and yours. I don't judge other Muslims even if their behavior is bad. That is their business. Who you choose to hang around with is a good indicator of who you are.

I agree with you 100%

We should strive to make ourselves better people, try to put ourselves on the right path. We should not judge other muslims, for we do not know what type of situation they are in. We all are sinners, and i believe it is better to point out one fault in ourself, than to point out 1000 in someone else.

Change yourself first, then try to change others.

And only Allah (swt) knows best.

And inshallah, i will do dua, that Allah (swt) PUTS US ALL on the straight path

Assalamualaikum.............................!
I will not expect from any muslim that by his/her any action.........any other could ever misinterpret Islam...............Islam is best religion.......so it's followers should be best also.
I DON'T THINK THAT ANY BODY CAN BE MUSLIM BY JUST PUTTING A LABEL OF BEING MUSLIM.................ISLAM IS NOT JUST A RELIGION..........ITS WAY OF LIVING OUR LIVES.

Otherwise.......as u said.....it's purely between him/her and Allah............if Allah can forgive her/his any action then what are we to say anything.

And Also...........just changing appearance don't make a muslim.............if he/ she is strong in his/her beliefs.........then it's alright.

But i have seen certain muslim............who feel ashamed to introduce themselves as muslim in non-muslim community..............due to fear of rejection or something like that..............................i don't know...............its worst thing i can ever expect from any muslim..................i hope there should be less of such case.
May Allah show them right path
Allah hafiz
