People usually say the Devil made me do it. But specifically if you are a believer exactly what methods does Satan use to tempt someone, or make them stray?

Here's a good start:

Galatians 5:19-21 (New International Version)

19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

If you're not under the protection of the Blood of Christ,
Satan has you already once you reach the age of
accountability...therefore Satan doesn't need 'methods',
just because you choose not to accept The Lord Jesus
Christ, you have done Satan's job for him. God gave
all 'freewill' and freewill is up to you to use as you will.

Dear,

The method is "MISLEAD"

Iblis/Satan/Devil is among the Creation of God just Malaikat (Angel) Gabriel, Mikael, Isrofil, Ratif, Rezduan, Malik, Mungkar, Nangkir, etc, etc.

Iblis/Satan/Devil disobey Al-Mighty God Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala to bow to Adam.

Iblis/Satan/Devil "mislead" our forefather and fore mother Eve, which cause them to descend toward the world.

Iblis/Satan/Devil is granted time until the end of the world to "MISLEAD" the people.

Hisyam bin Urwah tells that from Soleh Maula Abu Hurairah from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said in Surah an-nisar in Al-Qur'an that [In the book of "AL-MALAAHIM" that Jesus will exist for forty (40) years before the world end and as witness to them]. The Exist of Jesus (ISA) is the true "sign" the end of the world.

Iblis/Satan/Devil will "mislead" the people from Prophet Adam until the end of the world. Iblis/Satan/Devil will "mislead" by all means to the people which is tool or means to test the Slaves of God ALLAH Subhanahuwata'ala.

He's got plenty of tactics. The real arena is in our heads. Sin is outside of our bodies but it can enter and destroy us. The devil will first capitalize on our ignorance of emotions. You see, we are attached to the desire to have what we like, to keep what we like, and to be rid of what we don't like. Since we are his enemies, knowing this weakness of ours, gives him openings to make his attacks. You want something bad? He'll throw the dart of envy to you. Or the dart of covetousness. Or the dart of stealing. You get my drift?
