Now I have a lump in my upper arm and my PCP thinks it could be 1 of 3 things. 1- a cyst, 2- lyme disease 3- the cortisone liquid has settled in my arm. She says it feels like there is fluid in this "Lump". I am going to have carpal tunnel surgery on Nov 20th. She said if it is Lyme Disease I will know because the antibiotics they give me for my hand before surgery will take it away. I think it is the cortisone liquid. Has anyone who have ever gotten 3 shots ever experienced this? Please let me know. It also gets warm and it hurts.

Because I am a workers comp case, my Corporation refuses me to go see another doc. I have to appeal everything through workers comp. When I am out for my Carpal tunnel I am going to get the papers rolling for appeals.

I apprecitate all of your responses. I went to my PCP for my pre-op physical. It was my Ortho doc who has given me those Cortisone shots And now I call him Dr. Cortisone. He has been no help to me what so ever. I am going to make another appt with another Ortho Doc to see what I can do about my shoulder. I am getting the run around with my Corporation about seeing another Doc. By the way I live in CT and my Corporation is out of Mass.

Your PCP is an idiot. Cortisone doesn't just "settle" and any suspicion of Lyme disease without checking it out right away would be stupid beyond belief. The statement that one pre-op antibiotic injection would take it away indicates that the PCP probably uses chicken bones and chants in treatment.

Read my answer for 'Why am I still hurting?' It won't help you with your worker's comp. issue, but if you are looking for relief, go to www.maxgxl.com/bella I have had cortisone shots and used the cream. I did notice 'heat' but no 'growth'. My philosophy now, from all things experienced in my life, and those I know, I would much rather put something natural into my body than a 'chemical' medication. I am now a very healthy person. If only for ‘information’ sake, check it out. The same as your body stops making collagen, it also stops making glutathione. This is the strongest anti-oxidant your body naturally makes. It stops making it, at about age 20, and loses about 10% more each decade. It is completely depleted after 20 minutes of exercise, and has to recoup. This product helps your body make it again, efficiently. It is the first defense for your vision, cell renewal, prostate health, kidney/liver/heart etc. function, mind health i.e. memory, cognitive function, etc. As I said in my other 'answer', I have no more pain in my arms, and, results are evident within a very short period of time. It is very much worth your time to look into it.

The first thing I have to say is - 3 shots in 2 1/2 weeks?! When I was getting them in my elbow, they wouldn't allow me to get them any more frequently than one every 3 months. I agree with the people above who say your doctor is kind of incompetent. I'd change. The new doctor will do several things and find out what the lump really is.

And at least in Texas, you can request a new doctor even if the paperwork is monstrous.

My sister just went through this and had surgery on her elbow.
It really help her, no More pain.
She had to go through therapy after the surgery.
You should always get a second opinion before any surgery
