walking, for example. i walk every day and living in massachusetts it is very cold this time of year. do i burn less calories now?

Sweating doesn't burn calories. People who wear sweat suits while exercising in the heat are fooling themselves. You probably burn more in the cold because you're burning them to maintain body heat too.

It only water you burn less of. Just like swimming, if you are moving and don't necessarly feel like you are getting hot, you are still burning calories. So no you don't burn more calories when it is hot out, just more water.

Nope. Its about the same. You might think so, because if you step on the scale obsessively, you could be fooled by water weight sweated away in the summer.
