While in-flight meals have come a long way, there are still some scary snack options being served up. Airlines have tried to health it up, offering snack packs (many trans-fat-free) with tons of goodies instead of just TV-dinner-style fatty entrees. What's meant by TV-dinner-style fatty entrees, sky high, at 30,000 feet?

It means the food is served on disposable trays like a tv dinner, and maybe the entrees depending on your choice are not very healthy. They are probably frozen or vacuum sealed so they have to be heated like tv dinners. I don't fly.
